16.82 First Goalscorer – Predict which player will score the first goal of the match. Any player that has played no part in the match at the time that the first goal is scored will be settled as a non-runner, (bets will be void). Own goals do not count for this or any other goal scorer market. Should the first goal of the game be an own goal, the market will be settled on whichever player scores the second goal. If no valid goals are scored in the match “no goal scorer” will be deemed the winner.

As far as I know.

If ighalo comes on before the first goal is scored then the bookie bet is valid. The lay will be valid no matter what.

Will you get a free bet at HT?

If he doesn’t come on in the first half and someone else scores before half time. Then yes he is a losing bet but is he going to be a void bet? I wouldn’t count on getting a free to be honest.

Thinking about it more, if the only goal(s) in the first half we’re own goals then technically your bet would not have lost by HT, but that’s true of any player you pick as FGS.
