I’m a bit old-school, I think, because even on a night of upsets I’ve not lost money, but have definitely ended up with more money in places I don’t want it. The Real draw has probably added a nail to the coffin of my account with one of my favourite bookies, too.

I’m presuming that those who have punted free bets, or underlayed, are doing so based on some statistical analysis of the value, thus are confident that in the long run there is EV in playing them this way? Variance can be a bitch, but if you’re consistent and not just gambling then it’ll pan out okay over time.

Ambiguous?. Is it refering to each bet or the FGS market in total.
If QL’s are small worth multiple shots, but they usually aren’t.

Not really a mess-up, matchedem, as with the information you had at the time, it was a very “matched-betting” thing to do, rather than let it ride. However, it is a valuable lesson in the risks of retrospective changes affecting anticipated outcomes, so thanks for sharing the opportunity, impact and outcome.

Arb I agree to an extent but I checked BBC for first goalscorer and as Fog said I should have checked the official channels so silly mistake there
