Taking a Price in the Bookies

  • If you are backing a steamer or “hot horse” in the bookies can you just write the number and price (+ time and meeting) or do you have to write the horses name?? Thanks

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

You can write the number of the horse instead of stating the name if you want.

Why do you want to write just the number? to avoid being monitored by handwriting or to get the bet on in quick time?

Just make sure the race time, horse number and price are crystal clear, as some bookie shop staff can translate betslips incorrectly 🙂
