theoretical profit of monthly acca insurance offers

Suppose you could bet 550 accumulator insurance bets per month at 25£ each.
Can anyone estimate the EV from this?
I have read some posts here from markcorrigan and others where I seem to recall that 50£ accumulators have an ev of 20£++
Doing some research I found the link below which basically gives you 550+ opportunities per month to get refunds using 15 bookies. (numbers listed at the bottom)
Now i understand that laying this many is far too time consuming, but for those who dont mind the variance, what would it be worth to do this? is there any reason this is not doable?
Bookie name, max stake and number of times to redeem freebet listed below
188bet 50 4
betway 25 30
10 bet 50 10
willhill 50 30
ladbrokes 25 30
betstars 50 4
jenningsbet 50 120
betvictor 25 30
paddy power 50 120
bet vernons 50 30
betfred 25 30
totesport 25 30

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

It’s not doable. 550 per month is just not possible. You’d have to have four suitable games every single day of the month for some of these offers!
Also, £20 profit from £50 stake at Hills is not a typical return. I’d say £12-£15 is more realistic.
+0Is that the number of free bets allowed per month or in total?
+0what constitutes a suitable game then? is it just a close match between the bookie and exchange or do you also need the odds to be a certain way?
tonyr, yes thats per month.
+0Cheers
+0Of course it’s possible. As an example, the expected gain from accumulators last week on international matches was as high as £30 from a £50 accumulator. This was an extreme case, though. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect at least £15. If there’s suitable matches, you can load up on those and finish the accumulators by varying the final leg on future dates. The EV from sites such as Paddy (with minimum odds per leg) is generally lower than £10.
The real concern I would have is that – as Starlord alluded to – there aren’t too many candidate matches. Therefore, your EV may very well be extremely high from placing 10+ accumulators per day, but they’re unlikely to be independent (you will have to reuse matches across sites)… I’d be concerned about risk of ruin.
The final thing to consider is extraction of free bets. Usually it’s considered best to guarantee an extraction from free bets by laying on the exchanges. If you had 10 accumulators which were identical, let’s say, and all had exactly one leg which lost, you’d need to extract 10 x £25 (might be higher for some). That’s £250 of free bets to extract… If you aim for 90% extraction, you’d probably need £2,500 on the exchange to cover the liability for laying. On average you will find around 30% of accumulators have exactly one leg which loses. I think the time spent extracting this number of free bets will be higher than laying off the accas!
By all means, you could probably achieve 550 x £6 (from £25 stakes) = £3300 +EV in a month. You could estimate your risk of ruin and indeed variance, but this is purely dependent on how much your accumulators’ legs overlap between sites.
+0Mark, what would the criteria be for as much as £30 EV?
Something like 5 legs of 1.0x and then say 5.0+?

Yes, exactly. In the case of last week, you were spoiled for choice with 1.01-1.03s and you can choose any high odds matches as your final legs.
+0If you are laying of the bet at an exchange, does the odds need to be that short for this to work?
example: would you rather have 4 legs out of 5 be 1.05 back odds and 1.10 lay odds or would you prefer 4 legs out of 5 be 1.50 back and 1.51 lay.
as for your focus on risk of ruin Mark, I sit around all day multitabling PLO and I 4bet shove aaxx all day long even against opponents ranges that I know i will only have a 2-4% edge against. In monetary terms this means that I risk 200-400$ on edges as low as 4$.
My only real concern is:
Is my money safe with the bookies that offer these promotions? (15 or so from the list)
I mean if they decide to gub /ban me just at the “right” time when variance has caused me to have alot of ££ in one account, will i still be able to withdraw even with them knowing that i have basically robbed them?+0As always: you want to maximise the probability that exactly one leg loses as this is where the value comes from. 1.05/1.10 is far superior to 1.5/1.51…
You will have no problems with large, well-known bookmakers.
Good luck!+0ok so the best bookmakers for this offer are those who do not have minimum odds requirements such as ladbrokes, betfred and william hill..?
and then I assume from your answer that a bookmaker that has a total odds requirement such as betway and bet vernons of 5 and 4 total respectively are “better” than the likes of pokerstars, jennings, bet victor and paddy which have odds requirements for each leg? (this is despite the fact that the total odds of these can still be lower than the betway and vernons totals)
+0A total odds requirement sounds almost the same as not having minimum odds. The first 4 or 5 legs (5 or 6 acca) should be as low as possible, while the last leg should be as high as possible but with close odds.
+0Did anybody else get gubbed this week on Hills after caning the low odds international matched on accas?
+0I’m usually pulling in an EV of £5-£10 on every acca I place on Hills, and between £3-£7 elsewhere more or less.
Are the expected returns above (~£15) guaranteed EVs for every acca you’re putting on? Or is this exaggerated through underlaying legs, or through spray and praying that 1 leg loses?
+0My first gubbing came from 888sport for playing low odds multiples and that impression has lasted. Bookies have a small margin on low odds. Professional gamblers look at those odds.
I think that’s been the obstacle for me for doing acca’s. Every thing I know about gambling makes me think I’ll be banned within a week….
But the stories here seem to be the opposite of my intuition. The MBS guys getting shot down left right and centre and the acca guys look bullet proof.
