My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Part 2: So up to a maximum of £20: If you place a bet of £20 on half time/fulltime layed off on Betfair you spend a small amount thats understood. Now what happens if Sheff Wed fail to score there is your freebet of £20. However if Sheff Wed score no refund. BUT and this is driving me mad, if after doing the above HT/FT bet you treat this mythical £20 as a free bet SNR and go to another Betfair market i.e. BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE and bet YES at 2.06 and lay NO at 1.94 you get this:Back Bet (Bookie)

    Back stake:
    20
    Stake returned
    Back odds:
    2.06
    Back commission:
    0
    %
    Lay Bet (Betting Exchange)

    Lay odds:
    1.94
    Lay commission:
    5
    %
    Lay stake required: £ 11.22

    BookieExchangeTotal
    If back (bookie) bet wins 21.20 10.54 = £ 10.66
    If lay (exchange) bet wins 0.00 10.66 = £ 10.66
Total profit: 10.66CALCULATE am I wrong or missing the point.

You want to look at the “Sheff Wed to score” market (= “Leeds clean sheet” market, I am not familiar with the correct names) NOT the BTTS market.

You have no interest in whether the other team (Leeds in this case) score or not. Here, you could lose out on both fronts if Sheff Wed score and Leeds do not!

You should also use the Risk Free Bet mode of Matt’s calculator and enter an appropriate value in the Cashback box, depending on how much of the £20 free bet you expect to turn into withdrawable profit
