To quit casino or not to quit casino?

Hey all
Been matched betting a while and have upped my game recently to good effect, mostly on extra places.
Casino offers have always been a bit different, though. I was one of the (un)lucky ones who smashed a load of big wins when I first got into low-risk casino. Needless to say that perked my interest in slots. I’d been gambling for a few years before then and never even took notice of them!
Was always very sensible with them when I started doing offers but recently, things have become less controlled and I’ve slipped down the slope. Been blowing some good chunks of my MB profit on my fav slots, tricking myself by thinking I’ll hold onto my accounts longer if I do that.
Am feeling it might be time to turn my back entirely on casino offers. There’s no EV there anyway (on LRC) so hardly missing out on much.
Anyone else slipped into a similar trap?

Id give em a miss completely myself- The amount u have to play through to earn the ‘bonuses’ are massive and make it very difficult/unlikely you will actually clear the bonuses with much/any profit {the odd bet £10 get £10 etc with regular sites used to ok for me for a quick 20 minutes or so nick) But all in all thy don’t add up to much at all if your disciplined and willing to spin/play roul;ette for an hour or so to nick a small earner- and worst thing is as you have eluded to is that it can bring in slippery slope addictions to things like favourite games. My own example would be nicking a decent £100 or so (luckily) on some Age of The Gods slot offer but then actually finding the game quite addictive and when no offers were rolling in to have a few more plays on it- actually putting the odd tenner (justified to myself! that it was out of the hundred I nicked) in for the buzz- thankfully put it out my head whilst still ahead but the slippery slope was creeping in.
Slots in the long run are complete tosh- casinos unbeatable and the offers are slim/time consuming….summing up.. give em a complete swerve and stick to MB offers/extra place races/bad each ways etc
Just do what I do- take the odd 10 free spins/bet £5 get £5 etc offers from the established Bookies…do the min spins required and use the few small £s earned for the odd sandwich/4 pack.+2Sound mate. It’s the kind of answer I was looking for, silly to say, but sometimes you just need affirmation on these things. Cheers!

No worries👍 Ad long as u have something else to focus spare time – like mb and racing stuff- then the casino stuff is prob time wasted and a bit risky/dangerous etc- If mbetting options run dry then maybe its worth delving into the murkier waters of nicking a few quid on casino stuff…maybe!
👍+0Hey – I could have written that post myself… I‘ve been matched betting since 2016 and stopped keeping records when I reached £8,000 profit. Unfortunately not long after that I got into slots, and lo and behold the introductory offers are clearly rigged in some way to be loss leaders – I landed a few hefty wins and then stupidly became addicted to them and lost a load of my profit. Quite shocking that I allowed that to happen particularly when I was so careful about my matched betting.
So my strong advice is don’t bother. IMO there are far fewer MB offers out there these days but I’m lucky enough to have VIP status with one where the offers are excellent. Stick with the MB, it’s guaranteed profit and it’s easy. Try trading if you’re looking for a new angle – if you love your sport it will be enjoyable. I’ll leave you to do your own research but there are some good systems and sites out there!

Great Post Coyy- Hopefully all MB’s- and anyone else for that matter- will steer well clear of any casino/slots ‘offers’ and ever even playing them for ‘fun’
Even the cheeky little Bet £5 get £5 and 10 free spins can be dangerous if you dont have serious control…I did used to always take those little daily freebies for little free coffees/lunch money! But they can open up a gateaway/Door to addictions and donations of hard fought MB profits!…
Just not worth the aggro in my book…The drug dealing bookies rely these days on luring punters into the futile world of slots/casinos…Avoid!+1Yep. I thought I was sensible, and I followed all the rules with EV etc, but still fell down a big hole!
+0Just want to echo these comments as a warning to others. I started doing the casino offers to make some risk free cash and loved the buzz of the slots – they are designed to be addictive after all and they’re made to hook you in and have ‘one more go’.
Like others I won big a couple of times early on, even winning £1,000 on one of the daily jackpots and when I was bored I kept going back. It’s a slippery slope, I ended up losing what I’d won and threw a bit more away trying to recover it but you can’t, the slots eventually win.
If you do play the slots and win big, or even small, just take the money and run and steer clear of the casino unless it’s 100% risk free – and even then you need to remain disciplined just as you do with not gambling on some horse or football team.
