    I got this email too

If I bet 20 on leave with tonybet, can I bet Remain on bet fair exchange and not bother with the lay bet?

Odds are 3.85 to leave, and 1.34 to stay on betfair?

Odds of 17.0 are high to wager the free bet on.

Not sure how to lay this, and even if I need to lay …

Surely I should bet to leave on tonybet and then bet to stay on betfair, they both cancel each other out with a nice arb?

Bill – you can bet on Smarkets too. >Politics > UK Politics. I’ve been watching the odds shifting heavily over the last few weeks.

Thanks. I checked smarkets but couldn’t find it. I’ve found it now.

I’m just not sure how to bet on this, if I should back leave with Tonybet, and back remain on smarkets.

I put 17/20 into a odds converter and it said 17.0, 1.85 is ok, might do it then.

Yep, not sure what I did, but it was wrong lol

Actually thinking it about it, if I back both leave and remain, it’s not going to work because odds are too far apart?
Confused, hopefully someone can help us out.

I’ve just backed leave on Tonybet as promoted at 3.85

Matched it on betfair for a small qualifying loss.

Then layed remain on smarkets (just not to confuse myself) for £12 at 1.35 or whatever.

So a tenner if it’s remain or if it’s leave a 20 refund minus the lay I did on smarkets.

Just back and lay Leave, Remain will win after the MP’s death, plus the opinion polls have shifted back to Remain, last week Leave was in front.

Floating voters will back Remain now. I’m voting Leave and I’ll back/lay Leave, get a £20 free bet!

Tempted to throw a £100 punt on remain for £33 profit

I bet people are throwing thousands on remain at 1.33 for hundreds of pounds profit

But it could all go wrong still not likely though!

I want to back leave 3.85 on tonybet

Then overlayed leave on smarkets 3.95

So £10 profit if it’s remain, plus £20 free bet from tonybet

If it’s leave, I lose £10, and get no free bet.

So £30 profit if remain, £10 loss if leave.

    Worth the risk I think.

Farang – I’ve been watching the odds on Smarkets every day and Leave have never been in front. They were gaining ground odds-wise last week, but Remain’s lay odds have never drifted to beyond ca1.58. This was up from ca1.26 about three weeks ago.
