under laying a bet

  • sorry if i come across like an idiot, jumped in on the skybet price boost yesterday and unlayed it with betfair. nice £15 profit.

    just wondering with underlaying, does it always work

    say a price on betvictor is 4
    price on smarkets is 3

    is it always stake / commission to lay = profit?

    sorry if thats confusing :-/

    My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Just finished all the subs-from what I gather undrlaying is best when tied up funds due to wr with a bookie and also good to take advantage of enhanced odds such as super saturday

    It’s good to know how to calculate it as well.
    full underlay (break even if bet loses at the bookie) lay stake = bet stake / (1 – commission)

    example:
    bet stake = £20
    commision = 2%

    lay stake = £20 / (1 – 0.02) = £20.41

    The tricky bet calculator is pretty good. Formula to calculate it is always helpful. Underlaying can often be the best way to get some profit out of more certain events
