Underlaying all free bets to maximise long-term profit?

Just been thinking – if one underlays ALL their free bets, is it likely to lead to a greater overall profit long-term compared to a “standard” lay? Or will this only work if one carefully selects which bets to underlay?

but the first bit is carefully picking all your bets to maximise value. Be it higher freebet extraction, lower qls or more potential from arbs/boosts

after that laying is just an insurance that incurs costs in commission and gaps in the spread. But it’s a useful insurance otherwise variance can be huge!

I wouldn’t worry about this for another 10 days. Cheltenham offers the best freebet extraction you can imagine!

If it helps I lay to 80% for the rare freebets I get now. I still ensure I’m getting 90%+ EV where I can but leave a bit underlayed. I should probably lay less
