    cheers I nearly forgot!

laid it for £5.87 guaranteed profit, not much point underlaying for a risky extra £3.77

Guys, be very careful here – this isn’t straight forward unless I’m wrong!!

The enhancement is for PSG to qualify for the Qtr Finals of the Champions League.
To do so they have to play Chelsea twice – home & away (away match on March 9th) and be the overall winners over both matches.
So laying-off tonights match for a £5+ profit isn’t the end of this, you would either have to lay-off the 2nd match (and I doubt you would see an overall profit laying both matches) or let one of the legs run.
Wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention – I’m sure my understanding is correct, but shout me doen if not…….

PSG to qualify is currently laying for 1.61.

As Ryan pointed out, this is a straight forward lay. You just lay PSG to qualify at Betfair (1.61 when I last checked), bet will be settled after the 2nd leg (9th March I believe).

Quicky, how do I know my max stake for unibet? Just place a bet and see if it accepts? Or is there a way of establishing that before I attempt a bet?

The max stake should be around £21, I think. Just put in your stake and see if it gets accepted.

Just a shame if I place a bet to find I could have placed more. I’ll stick with £20, I guess much more looks dodgy anyway

Huh? Just put in like £30… It will ask you to adjust your stake to the maximum. Conversely, if you only bet £20 to begin with, nothing is stopping you from betting more.

Going to be a bit risky with this one and not lay until the first leg is over tonight in the obvious hope that PSG win comfortably. A £5 profit isnt really worth leaving money, albeit a small amount, tied up in the exchange for 3 weeks.

Id rather have a £5 profit tied up than risk Chelsea getting an away goal and then you having to lay for a loss or infact lose your £20 stake? Just don’t do the offer if you don’t want the money tied up?

Thanks for your opinion as always Ryan but I’ll do the offer the way I’d like to play it. Any losses incurred will be covered elsewhere over the course of the next few days.

Although I’m choosing to not lay this as the max stake is tiny in comparison to bankroll, the argument that the profit isn’t worth having the liability tied up for 3 weeks is so weird. You’re tying up roughly £38.00 to make around £5.80 profit. Compounded annually, this is above 1000% net ROI. I’m not saying it’s irrational or anything; I just find the way we think (as humans) to be quite short-sighted sometimes – it’s interesting.

It does only tie up about £17, with a £5 return in 3 weeks. I wish my bank was so generous!
