What is an in-play event bet?

  • Some free offers are for in-play events only. I’m not exactly sure what that means. Can someone explain? Should these offers be avoided by newbies?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Lets just take football for example.

After kick-off the bookies will offer in-play odds – which will change depending on how the match is going. It can be quite volatile and if a goal goes in between your back and lay then it can be a big loss. So yes, for a newbie best to be careful. Safest thing is to get the in-play bets on at half time.
