What is the best way to track my profit?

  • Hi guys, I am fairly new to matches betting and I am just wondering how everyone tracks their profits and bets? Thanks

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Why bother?

You’re better of using your time doing offers.

Open Excel, create two columns, name one “Deposits”, the other “Withdrawals”. Fill in deposits as you go along and whenever you want to see how much profit you have, fill in withdrawals with the balance of each of your bookies and exchange.

Subtract total deposits from total withdrawals and there you go. I tend to mass withdraw at the end of each month then pay my profits in to my various savings accounts once all withdrawals appear in my account and deposits are audited.

Hi Chris, would you mind emailing me a template copy? It sounds great but it would be good if i could see how you do it?

I do the same as you Chris.

I’ve got a spreadsheet that adds up all my bookie amounts, exchanges, current account and PayPal account.

Also kept a spreadsheet for my expenses.

Dead easy to do and helps track the MB profit!👍💷

It would be much appreciated if you could send me a template of how your excel sheet is layed out?

I feel like you’re just trying to get my email address and other personal information now?

Not sure why you need me to send you an Excel spreadsheet that has a column named Deposits, then another one right by the side of it named Withdrawals?

I asked wafty cranker to send me a template of how he tracks his profit. I can assure you i am not. I’m new to all of this and i am trying to ask as many questions as possible in order to learn. My bad for asking Chris.

Here’s the thing though…. if you can’t figure out how to keep count of your profits in a basic spreadsheet then maybe this isn’t for you. Stick to the easy sign up offers and basic offers where you don’t need to track anything.

Because at some point, like everyone else has done, you are going to make a mistake and then have about 2 minutes how to figure out how to back out of something that could cost you a load of money.

And if you can’t figure out how to make a 2 column spreadsheet then it’s unlikely you will be able to work out how fix it.

No one here like’s to give out too much personal information. It’s likely these forums are read by at least one trader and if you post your real name then it’s not too hard for them to track down your account.

I agree, if you are struggling to do a 2 column excel spreadsheet with ins and outs maybe this isn’t for you.
