What to do after profiting from the free bet?

Hi, sorry this may be a stupid question lol.

So I’ve not started matched betting yet, just been doing my research and learning as much as possible. One thing I’m confused on so far is, lets say I have done the qualifying bet and made a minimal loss and then profited £15 on the free bet. What’s next with that £15 profit?
Do I continue to use that on backing bets and lay on the exchange or do I only ever wait for free bet and other offers and use the £15 profit as my “qualifying bets”?

I missed this, so sorry for the late reply.

The latter is correct. Wait for offers and use your bankroll to fund your qualifying bets.
