Where're your profits coming from

  • Just wondering what you say your best earners are it terms of offers and bets, what kind of percentages of your profits are coming from each kind of bet (Hope that makes sense). For instance horse racing 4/1 offers, 2nd place refunds, in-play bets and price boosts with sequential lays, perhaps even mug betting? I’ve just started to look into odds monkey to see if there is any money to made over that way?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

A majority of mine is definitely from horse racing on a Saturday Channel 4. Using Ladbrokes/William Hill 2nd place refunds and Skys usually offer, along side Betfair 3/1 SP winner & Bet365 4/1 Winner definitely can make easily £100 on a Saturday from Horse Racing alone.

Make quite a bit from all the price/enhanced boosts by underlaying them usually, and also 888Sport Goals Mean Promo is worth quite a bit per weekend (if Leicester are on form). Alongside various other free bet offers etc!

In terms of you stating money to be made from odds monkey I assume you mean arbing and many people have said this is likely to get you gubbed quick and therefore is probably not the best idea!

I’ve started doing accas in the last week made a decent amount from my last two and could still end up with a free £50 bet if united and lfc win tomorrow. Found them hard to get my head round tho. Good thing is you look like a mug better placing £50 on six team what look like dead certs

The last month has been unusual. Most of my profit (from matched betting) came from enhanced odds/price boosts. Checking my results: 50% came from enhanced odds, 18% from horse racing offers (e.g. MB2, C4), 21% came from Acca insurance offers, and the remainder from various free bets/bonuses.

    Decent % from Acca’s then.

I’ve not had a proper go at them, despite having a spreadsheet.

If we are always staggering matches doesn’t that give a clue as to what we are doing? Or is it a case of anyone doing is a ‘mug’ in the bookies eyes?

It varies. I think the racing offers are the most lucrative but Saturdays are not so easy after being gubbed by Ladbrokes. Fred’s boosts are worth some easy money on Saturday morning although I’m never sure how much to stake on those.

Feb has been fairly quiet for me though. I’m at around +£600 for the month compared to +£1000 for Jan. March should more than make up for it once Cheltenham starts!

Seem to go through phases, you have a good week for mb2 perhaps, while the following week you might have a surprising amount of underlayed price boosts come in. Free bets are fairly steady, it all adds up.

Free bets, enhanced prices a few arbs and sign up offers currently.
Gonna look at accas next but struggling to get my head around all the permutations on how to make decent profit. Read a few posts, think I’m getting there then start seeing things like extra value, probability and go back to square one
