Good day for me so far. 3 2nd place refunds including that lucky last race with double w’s. Only bad thing is I’ve only been punting £10 a time to minimise qualifying losses as I’m a coward. Still that’s £30 free bets plus the excitement of watching the races

As a side note. The 2nd places offer is becoming my favourite matched betting to do. Not purely because of profit but the fact that I actually have a vested interest in the result. Gives me something to watch! Anyone else feel the same?

It’s nice when it comes off but it feels overly time consuming when it doesn’t. Vested interest is similar to when underlaying something.

Ditto, I’ve won maybe 7 from the last 8 at one bookie. Most were favs so fair enough but a couple were around 5/1.

Only done a few of these with a decent anoint of winners, tempted to start underlaying on races with 5 and 2 clear favorites

Had a good day on these, squeezing in my backs/lays when I could and netting 3 refunds. These can become annoying and time consuming if you let them.

Trick is to give the race 2-5 mins of your time, whenever you can (be that the morning, 2 hours before the off, or in this final few minutes as the horses are going down) and if you find an acceptable close match on a horse you fancy has a decent chance of getting you a refund then do it.

If not, don’t.

It’s that simple. It’s only as time consuming as you let it be. Don’t feel like you need to do ‘every’ race where the offer is on, there will always be tomorrow ;)

Looking a the Channel 4 races tomorrow the only one that stands out is the 2:25 Sandown…6 runners Tea for two 2.37 Bristol De Mai 2.62 and then the odds are 10, 10, 17, 21. Therefore placing one with Ladbrokes and one with WH should give a great chance. The 2:45 Wetherby looks like an okay chance other than that the others look way too open and i’ll only do them if I can minimize qualifying loss to next to nothing, good luck lads!!

1.50 at Sandown, the first 2 Fav’s are bankers as they both came 1st and 2nd in the same race back in december
