William Hill New Horse Racing Offer

  • Hi all. I’m fairly new to matched betting so still getting to grips how to play certain offers. My first thought was this looks good but not sure how to play it. Any advice??

    HIGH 5
    Our New Horse Racing Offer

One in three National Hunt (jumps) races were won by five or more lengths last season.

With that in mind, we give you our new racing offer – High 5. Place a bet on selected jumps meetings, and if a horse wins by 5 or more lengths…

» Back the winner and you’ll get a 25% bonus.
» Finish second and get money back as a free bet.

There’s a High 5 meeting every single day:
    ‣ Friday and Saturday – All jumps meetings.
    ‣ Sunday to Thursday – One selected meeting.
    ‣ All live Channel 4 races

It all starts this Friday, just in time for the top class racing at Cheltenham’s three day Open Meeting.

So if your horse romps home, or finishes behind a clear winner, we’ve got this jumps season covered.

Just seen Over To Sam romped home. Boom-tastic end to a fairly pedestrian afternoon’s racing tbh!

Had 4, yes FOUR horses covered in the Kempton race today and not a fecking sniff.

Haha i know Tony that 3.05 was a disaster took a £6 loss there too.

More than made up with todays effort though, over £200 up plus an ew opportunity just off now.

Taking time off this offer though.

What price did you get Sam at, Chris? I took 2.25 – if you did the same your free bet will “only” be £46.88 free bet

Agree that it might be wise to give this a rest for a while – would quite like to keep this Hills account until Cheltenham tbh.

In-race half lays might have worked- had I picked the right horses!.
Some good lays and some really poor ones especially Longtown. Casper saved the day Probably up or down couple £, can’t be arsed to work it out.

Worth another go if enough time.

Took 3.0 on Sam Tony, mistake was that I also layed at 3.0. Could have waited and made even more. £75 free bet credited though.

Wow lads smashing it by the looks of it. Christopher – always thought you were a very smart bettor but looking at your recent results, have my kids!!! Ha, kidding but you’re truly an inspiration to me – if I remember correctly weren’t there a few people saying this offer’s not worth it etc.? Seeing you abuse it recently – do you think it’s worth trying it myself?

Have just ‘”re-ignited” and old WH account, and am wondering if someone (Chris?) can do a summary on how people are making big sums on this offer, so I don’t have to read through 22 pages….

I’ll read the 22 pages but yeah would be useful if someone could do that :)

Yeah that was me moaning about this offer, it was a dry spell on it over Christmas :P

The big sums come from either big stakes on strong favourites or £25-50 on less fancied horses that come in. Obvious elements of luck to this are getting a winner in the first place and then it winning by 5 lengths or more.

    On at 3.0, v nice Chris :)

@grinning beast – decide what you’re targeting. I think most of us look for winners rather than aiming for 2nd.

Back accordingly. You get 25% boost on your profit, so if you back an even money horse (2.0) then you really need to be staking £100 or more to get a decent free bet out of it. Adjust accordingly depending on odds.

@Tony (other one) Understand the logic and strategy and get on board. Don’t be too results-oriented in your thinking either. Oh, and change your screen name in some way to differentiate it from mine please ;)
