William Hill New Horse Racing Offer

  • Hi all. I’m fairly new to matched betting so still getting to grips how to play certain offers. My first thought was this looks good but not sure how to play it. Any advice??

    HIGH 5
    Our New Horse Racing Offer

One in three National Hunt (jumps) races were won by five or more lengths last season.

With that in mind, we give you our new racing offer – High 5. Place a bet on selected jumps meetings, and if a horse wins by 5 or more lengths…

» Back the winner and you’ll get a 25% bonus.
» Finish second and get money back as a free bet.

There’s a High 5 meeting every single day:
    ‣ Friday and Saturday – All jumps meetings.
    ‣ Sunday to Thursday – One selected meeting.
    ‣ All live Channel 4 races

It all starts this Friday, just in time for the top class racing at Cheltenham’s three day Open Meeting.

So if your horse romps home, or finishes behind a clear winner, we’ve got this jumps season covered.

    It ain’t a difficult concept.
Just back a horse at Hill’s High5 meeting that you fancy to win. Try and get low QL as possible with the odds as always.

It was Chris’s post that got me wondering – £75 free bets etc.
Must need big stakes, or are you combining this with other offers?

Stake what you like but £25 on a horse thats 2 or 3.0 is hardly worth it. I actually had £150 left in my WH account so lumped it on Sam at 3.0 because the lay was also 3.0. Didnt expect it to win but it did so I got a £75 free bet.

You need to bet high stake on favourites
If you win at just evens then 25% of £100 in FB’s on top of the return.

I’m guessing what most are doing here is backing beforehand, and then laying later on (and hoping the lay odds go down?) – otherwise surely you’re guna be taking giant QLs on £100 bets and making the free bets redundant.

Nope just betting close to the off, well I am anyway. Asking for trouble backing first and hoping the odds come down, end up taking even bigger QL.

I’ve been backing within 15 minutes from the off, and aiming for a slightly smaller lay than back, how much by depends on the odds.

E.g. I’ve just got Master of Irony at 2.5/2.47, for odds of around 6.0 I’d be looking for a lay of 5.8 ish, got to be very quick though.

Won but not by much. Was following SuperT on this with Broughtons and for the first time decided to underlay. What a joke, think I’ll stick with guaranteed. Could’ve got £32, it’s basically gambling haha.
