William Hill New Horse Racing Offer

  • Hi all. I’m fairly new to matched betting so still getting to grips how to play certain offers. My first thought was this looks good but not sure how to play it. Any advice??

    HIGH 5
    Our New Horse Racing Offer

One in three National Hunt (jumps) races were won by five or more lengths last season.

With that in mind, we give you our new racing offer – High 5. Place a bet on selected jumps meetings, and if a horse wins by 5 or more lengths…

» Back the winner and you’ll get a 25% bonus.
» Finish second and get money back as a free bet.

There’s a High 5 meeting every single day:
    ‣ Friday and Saturday – All jumps meetings.
    ‣ Sunday to Thursday – One selected meeting.
    ‣ All live Channel 4 races

It all starts this Friday, just in time for the top class racing at Cheltenham’s three day Open Meeting.

So if your horse romps home, or finishes behind a clear winner, we’ve got this jumps season covered.

Got extremely lucky just looking for right back and lay odds, ‘good offer this’ a bit tongue in cheek, hadn’t hit anything before today. Looking at how often a horse wins by 5+ lengths its all down to luck if you get anything from it really, I’ll probably do another day tomorrow then stop as I’ll likely get gubbed

I realise this is a complete newbie question, but are ALL races with jumps national hunt races? or are some, like Irish meetings or shorter hurdles or something for example not classed as “National Hunt”

    TIA

Fair question, which I would like to know too. I almost bet on the final race at one of the meetings the other day until I saw that it was a FLAT race!! haha!

This offer covers 3 cards today, so plenty of chances. Remember that you need 6 or more runners though as there are some 5 horse races that look like a good shot at refund e.g. the 12:50 at Haydock.

You get national hunt flat races known as bumpers. Just look for the word hurdle or chase in the title and you’ll be fine

I think the bumper would still count it’s based on national hunt meetings not individual races AFACT

cheers guys. its the bumpers that confused me, I always kinda knew national hunt was jumps but then started seeing flat races so thought it might be a governing body or something as in the difference between UEFA and FIFA.

Hey has the offer been pulled as I can’t see today’s high five event online unless Ive misunderstood the terms and there isn’t an offer on a Thursday?

The homepage says it’s Taunton, but no mention under the horse racing page itself. Might just be slow on the update.

Has anyone noticed that on the iOS mobile app that the horse prices will change but not actually change on the card until you place the horse in to your betslip?

A few sites are like that, I sometimes do a manual refresh when comparing odds.

The smarkets app has started occasionally doing it so switched back to the browser after getting unmatched bets when there appeared to be liquidity there
…. but price had really shifted

Anyone hit anything on this today? Thought I had a £25 free bet in the first at Bangor but there were only 5 runners :(
