Xmas gubbings

Is it just me or have I seen a lot of people saying they’ve been gubbed on Betfred & Sky lately?
They’re my two main accounts now, and I’ve had them going for about 9 months, so I’m sort of expecting a gub any day now. Particularly since I’ve done almost every single offer with Fred lately..
My only observation about my accounts with them is that I never ever mug bet and every single bet or casino I’ve done has been linked to an offer of some kind. And I do a lot of them. So is the golden rule for not getting gubbed just, not winning any bets? I feel like if I’d mug betted, I’d have lost them ages ago because mug bets usually (due to QL) are going to be low odds..

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Haven’t been gubbed anywhere apart from Sky today, funnily enough after winning about £500+ there in last week or so. I’ve not won anywhere near that amount anywhere else and haven’t been gubbed anywhere else as of yet. Putting 2+2 together I’d say its purely down to how much you win and how much you are withdrawing from your account.
+0If it was that easy with your view of mug bets wouldn’t we all just do that and win money quicker?! There’s a whole host of ways to mug bet, and long term you will lose mug betting unless you somehow gain a genuine edge. Short odds is not a genuine edge, but if you do it on close matches horses that is as you are essentially arbing
+0I personally don’t believe mug betting helps atall – it’s purely based on whether you’re winning – regardless of offers taken up
+0Saying that obviously – if you end up winning a lot, then trying to mug away some of that profit could be helpful!
+0There’s plenty of people saying they were gubbed without winning much. If you have a high portion of offers to bets then you’ll stick out on some bookies reports, then the trader decision will be pretty easy.
That’s assuming it gets that far, the volume of some gubbing emails suggests it’s automatic if you have a high volume offers to bets+0I’ve lost betfair SB today, an account I’ve had since about 2012 but only been matched betting on since early April. I can’t complain I’ve made a fair bit from them. I also had zlatan top scorer with them for the £5FB for every game he scores in offer which only runs until Christmas… so it was nice of them to wait for that to finish before cutting me loose I guess. Had a winner with them on Sat which I backed at 6/1 and ended up going off 3/1. It was touch and go if it was going to qualify for the offer at all. If bookies really do hate you beating SP (which I believe) that was probably the final straw
+0Got an email from 888 saying that the Goals Mean More promotion is terminated, did anyone else get this or was it just me?
+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
I got the same email Ruger it’s not a gubbing they’ve just stopped doing the promotion.
