New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yes you’ve covered your mistake with the cash out, so that looks fine.
£0.29 loss if Fulham win or around £1 (depending on your commission rate) if they don’t.
If you’re placing your free bets on the same selection, you can just place one lay bet.
If you were placing 4 x £5 free bets on the same selection, you would simply enter £20 as your ‘Back stake’ on the calculator instead of £5. The calculator will then give you the correct lay stake for covering all 4 free bets.
That should be fine @sm0114.
I’m actually in the process of rewriting my matched betting guide and I’ve taken the approach of placing the free bets on the same selection. It’s a matter of personal preference really.
On one hand, it speeds things up, but on the other it depends on the size of a person’s bankroll and how comfortable they feel placing them all at once. It’s important to take things steady as a newbie.
I have a free bets guide that you might find useful.
Generally though, it’s just a case of sticking to high profile football matches and horse races. You should be able to find something on Smarkets, but there’s always the option of Betfair too. Betfair often have better odds and liquidity.
Just some things to check Kevin…
– The bonus cannot be placed on an event that is due to start after the expiry date of the bonus.
– The bonus must be used on an accumulator (2+ selections).
– The odds of each leg of the accumulator must be 1.25 or greater.
– The total odds combined odds must be 1.80 or greater.Anything above 5.00 (4/1) is fine for placing free bets.
I’ve just had a quick look at tonight’s Champions League matches and Red Bull Salzburg look like an option with back and lay odds of 7.50 and 8.00 respectively.

Thanks for flagging this up @bettingbitz.
The offer has been extended for the period 12th October 2020 to 12th December 2020, so you’re fine to do it.
I’ve updated the New Customer Offers page.
Betfair only offer selected accas, so you won’t always find the one you’re looking for.
Smarkets recently added a new feature though that allows you to build and lay any multiple.
Please see my Laying Multiples guide for a walkthrough of how this should be done.
Sorry to hear that Paul. I’ve not heard of any issues with these price boost offers before. I would get on live chat again and flag it up.

Hi @spoon,
I think you may find my early payout offers guide useful…

The problem with backing such a heavy favourite pre-match is that it doesn’t give you much of a potential profit due to the low odds. You stood to win around £13.00 if Man City went two goals up and failed to win. With such a small profit, your qualifying loss of around £0.80 was actually quite large as Wolves making a comeback from two goals down is rather unlikely. It’s only really worth doing low odds selections if you can keep your qualifying loss to a few pence.
You’ll find some tips on picking selections in the guide anyway. If you have any further questions on it, just give me a shout.
Hope it helps.
Matt
