Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

    Messed up bad managed to trade out of them on smarkets for a profit on 3 just the bets on betfair I gotta get out of or hope for the best got 150 in it or hope all odds go down so I can lay them

    2nd and 3rd in the ones that would been paid out winning. 5th on the 4 place arb

    Was some value on different horses materialising when I went to bed, but the place liquidity wasn’t there. Would taken a risk or lack of sleep….. Not even convinced an entire day of Cheltenham would stop me sleeping with work the day after let alone chasing place arbs on this.

    Yep the place market was non existant, good ol smarkets as usual. I noticed it was there on Betfair (this was around 3.30am) and the place arbs were ok (about half a point) but refuse to pay 5% however bad smarkets can be.

    Anyway, luck turned for me, my two selections were 2nd and 3rd so even with a £35 loss on the Humidor place I am still up by £242. Needed that.

    Shame Red Cardinal couldnt get in to 5th or 6th.

    Not much around today. Exeter is usually good for High 5 if anyone can still be bothered with it.

    The 4.10 (Exeter) is a 17 runner handicap so probably worth looking at. May be some opportunities at the Kempton meeting this evening too, the 5.45 looks lovely and a couple more non runners will make it perfect.

    I would infact advise on taking early prices in the 5.45. Podemos is 11.0 at William Hill and Highbrow is 17.0 at various bookies.

    I miscalculated a place arb on Johannes Vermeer so instead of taking a loss I just gambled and let the place run which made me a nice bit. Quite glad it didn’t win as the small win arb would be offset by emptying my exchange account.

    Had a small punt on Nakeeta on at Betfair and now kicking myself that I didn’t do it and one of the bookies offering an extra place.

    High5 today looks ok… just need to pick out a few winners.

    Also on Melbourne Cup, shame Hills didn’t offer BoG as Johannes Vermeer came in at 13.0 and Max Dynamite at 19.0

    Yes I got a bit of BoG with BetStars on Johannes Vermeer. Too many runners in the end I think for there to have been much value. Even with 6 places was hard to get one to stick.

    Actually they have resettled it without BOG.

    When I placed the bet it came up with the little BOG symbol in my open bets, which was a bit of a surprise for an antepost market on a non-UK race too.

    Then it settled this morning and Paid Out £100, but now I notice it is changed and only paid out £87.50.
