Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Decent result on Windshear. Would have preferred Fly du Charmil to nick 3rd though.

Frustrating a profit made but got too greedy with it. My best bet on the race was probably making a tenner by backing the 2nd fav @1.142 to place v 1.1. Annoying as was within 0.1 of getting matched on the 2nd fav whilst it was 15/8. Would have been a huge arb on the place of 1.5 – 1.1 by the time the off came. And had it won well would have been even better with BOG.

    A small loss for me…
Disappointing for the best bad ew race that I can remember..

I made about 40 quid mainly from the bog in the 2nd fav and a £25 free bet from the sun bets 2nd to sp fav promo

I’ve been thinking that you could make more on these types of races by trading using BOG as a fallback.

Place a big bet on the 2 favs at different sites then lay just before the off.

The chances are that you will have made a decent arb on one of them and the other will be a small loss.

Although BoG did kick in on the 2nd fave. It was still miles off the exchange SP, 3.50/5.0.

In that race money you would have made on the fav at 1.7 earlier in the day would have more than made up for anything you lost on the 2nd fav.

Nice high5 there and a boost.

Cap Soleil look’s like one to follow this season.

Bbob in that situation I can see where your coming from but my advice would be to only back the favourite. The odds are always competitive at the off on it e.g if it drifted to evens then i would guess it would be 2.25 max on the exchange. However on other horses the bad ew takes play so suddenly it was miles out on the 2nd fav and all the other horses. Personally you can ew arb as normal and hope for the bog on whatever you back. Then if you want to use the fav as a commission saver then back it with a controlled trade for bog. If it drifts you make more on the other horses and if it dreams you’ve got a good trade. Also on gubbed accounts where I am only allowed small stakes I can even ew arb the fav for small profit and commission saving.

    Yeah… makes sense beesty.

Coral have extra place race at 4.50 Meydan today, currently no liquidity on Betfair exchange. But I had a look at the 3.05 in the 10 minutes up to the off and there were a few easy arbs available…. 6.5/5.5 and 5.5/4.6 with plenty available for about 10 minutes.

    3:40 Race… Voice of the North 26/16

I suppose like the US racing it’s an easy way to get an accont gubbed.

3.10 Hexham is an extra place race, handicap with a 1.7 Fav so should be a bit of value.

Currently 12 runners so 1 non-runner would ruin it.

High5 hits first race…. easy winner in 2 mile hurdle.

    Hopefully a few more today.
