Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

    Ok, the odds on the favourite have increased at the Wolverhampton 1340 (they were 2 when I checked at night, so I assumed they might drop a little). Same with Southwell.

    I know some ppl dont like the favs.

    But so far the best value on the 1610 is on the 2 favs.

    Which is not bad for each 10ew on the 2nd fav could guarantee £1 profit at the moment. Which isnt bad. If you have stake restrictions, then easier to get a good stake on a 2.75 odds horse. If you have a smaller float then also easier to lay a short priced horse and maybe get a bigger stake.

    Anyway, be very careful of non runners. Still all day to go before the race.

    Or take joys delight at 2.75 which is 1/5 odds for the place makes 1.35. Laying on two to be placed market at 1.35.

    If there is a non runner then the small QL loss should be overturned by some reduction factor benefit (the bookie wont apply any rule 4 deduction on the long odd horses). If no non runner then have a shot at the “extra” place.

    Yep I took Joys Delight at 2.87 earlier at Betfair as a back up bet. Also got on Compton Brave, smallish stakes so if it does go tits up, I don’t lose too much.

    Really happy with my WH boost today. Got full £200 on Ronnie Lawson in the first race at Southwell and just underlayed for free shot at £153. Lay odds been tumbling every couple of minutes.

    Could have taken £51 guaranteed too but only live once.

    I’ve got an arb on it too…. smaller stakes (new account trying to keep under the radar.

    Seems to be a big gamble on it, form looks iffy.

    Hoping it drifts now for a BOG…. Irish Octave was originally fav and form horse, I would expect some money for that from bookies trying to get price back down.

    WHill decent flash odds boost in the 14:10

    BF Edge looks good for the 16:10. Am I right in saying that if I reduce to 2 places, a NR will reduce it to win only?

    Southwell crap for high5, no more for me today…. had the 2nd on a risk free bet (underlaid), looked all over the winner until the outside appears and wins after trading at about 100.0 inplay.

    Yeah Southwell was never going to be good for High 5 anyway, wrote that one off.

    Next race isnt eligible then the rest are minefields too so not worth bothering anyway.
