Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Long sigh…… had big arb on Frontiersman ar 2.5/2.1 which would have covered my losses and jockey gives them all first run.

Got a bit more on the 2nd fav at 3.5, and only laid part on the 2tbp market. Ended up about £7 up after losing 5 on the 3rd fav as a place bet which I got a bit ahead of true price.

The 2nd fav was almost too short in price so all the alternative money seemed to be going that way rather than to the outsiders

Someone appears to be trying to play the place markets. I noticed last time I looked properly that 2 of the typical ‘bad each way’ horses were too short on the place part and same again today. My guess is someone using that as a safer way of gambling on which horses will steam in, which means if you had the time (doubt anyone here as the time they couldn’t better spend!) you could pick some money off from what they are trying to do

First profitable day for a while, no f bombs or simply not bothering. £10 free and ew arb on the 2nd fav from the 18:10 makes it £25, pays for the curry. Just wish an acca would come in, terrible run.

I’m on the verge of giving up accas. Roughly 450 down on where I was for the season a couple months back, in profit of 200 for the season whereas id guess that should be more like 1k.
But when you have £100+ on with many overlapping legs, and higher cumulative odds than last season it’s not that much of a surprise I suppose… just frustrsting.

The 1.25 is bad ew, could do with a couple of non runners.

Not sure I can be bothered today though given how the last couple of days has gone. Always an indication that the week isnt going to be profitable.

Yep. I’ve had a shocker for a good few days now. Lots of time spent watching things and bugger all has gone my way. 1325 looks like it may throw up a few opportunities but can’t see anything else yet today.

I’ve never bothered with accas. They seem more hassle than they’re worth.

I stopped Accas this season when Hills reduced to £20 refund and stopped the free fiver each week, but I always did lock in.

My tip this week would be to get on Boyle and Betway lose the first set win the match refund. Dutch matches that are 1.8/2.2 or better I guarantee a profit, I’ve hit 3/6 in 2 days. Women’s tend to come in more than men’s.

As an aside….Has anyone ever considered trying to manipulate the market?

Would only take a couple of pound each for us to bring the exchange price down on an outsider that is getting nibbled at…. normally money follows money and you get your lay in later?

Hmmm but a no hoper. One previous hurdle race at 100-1 and finished 10th of 14.

It’s a P2P winner and first race was probably to short.

It’s a bad race and it’s 33-1 so any bit of form is a bonus, I’m not saying it’s going to win just that it’s possible some money could come for it EW (at least one tipster has tipped it on Twitter)

The 2nd fav has never seen a racetrack and the rest look pretty bad as well.

And like most self made Twitter tipsters, that one has a pretty rubbish record :P

I noticed that…. anyway, here’s something else I noticed today.

It’s possible to get round stake restrictions at some bookies by placing doubles, trebles etc.

My Max Bet (at 10Bet) allows me to win about £300, however if I get can get £30 on an EW Double if I stick the Even Money fav in the first race.

You could then sequentially lay the Win and EW part of the bet… the bonus being that if the win part of the bet loses then you don’t need to bother laying the win on your big priced horse. (Of course there is the danger of your first horse not placing but you get one at a short enough price then most of the time you should be ok).

Yep thats a well known method around here, I cant remember who it was that posted it years ago but you can use that tactic for the Betfred boosts on Saturday. Combine a boosted horse with low odds football.
