last week I lost 140 missing lays on a bad each way race. Was probably still a bit moody from that when I had shocking variance on a slots offer, so kept going to lose a bit more thinking a win must spin in…. then tilted and blew a chunk more on blackjack and finished the day 300 down!

I think I actually feel worse that I had actually dug out the winner and had a punt on it…even though it saved me £100

but I think that helps when we apply the smart side of our brains to calculated gambles, and shut down the irrational gambling side.
+0Throw my hat in the ring, but luckily for me it worked in my favour. Had an Acca last night that I needed to lay the second leg on, it was close to kick off and I was checking prices at 3 exchanges. BF looked to have the best price so I layed their. Match was drawn so my Acca was still live, checked my BF account which was up £51, turned out I had layed a team to win! The odds were similiar for 1X2 and because BF list the draw last I layed on the middle option.
So I’m £51 up and I have got a live Acca that’s guaranteed to make £120 if I lay. The last leg is Spurs to win in tonight’s replay, can’t decide wether to let it run and risk losing the Acca stake but make an extra £20 if they win, or lay them and take the guaranteed £120. Notmally I would just lay but they are 1.12 but then they are in a replay for a reason……!?

Actually the luck I am having I would probable lay Newport by mistake and they’d win.
Just tried to get on the fav in play there at 20.0 at Fairyhouse and missed by a second…..it ended up winning.
Small profit though…. only another 480 to go.
+0Irish racing is crazy for price fluctuations…. was on one there at 10/9.8 that was getting gambled in quickly.
Ended up drifting wildly back up to 30.0 and going off at 15.0
Finished nowhere of course.

Just catching up on here which is poignant as I lost £133 on the first race at Wolverhampton trying to use my boost but as I placed my bet, all liquidity disappeared at the exchange and didnt come back. Thought I’d try in play but the horse must have started shockingly.
That came because I was betting just for the sake of using my boost chasing a silly £21 profit. Lesson to us all, when the racing is crap, dont bother and yeah I know I’ve said that a few times on here so I sound like a hypocrite.

Having won last time (after it’s unseating rider in first race whilst money was going on inplay) I suspect any edge has gone. Although looking at the favourite/ odds my theory of experience being of use in bumpers suggests there is still a little value.

Meh, I would avoid that one like the plague. All kinds of crazy things will happen there and it will be a minor miracle if you get a match let alone on arb on anything.

Probably be money for one or two of the outsides near the off which might push out others.
