Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

They trimmed me to £50 max win on horses and football now Chris. But still other sports, and I possibly have unlimited limits on inplay bets. Bit more risky/faffy but decent enough EV for time

BOG and first past the post can be huge. First past the post is so rare but can be massive. I think with BOG it’s more likely if you get on the shorter priced horses as likely to get a close match which may drift. Until Cheltenham liquidity anyway. Midweek racing you get on a horse at 7/7 the chances are it’s minites away from being cut in price by the bookies.

The 3.20 race is a good case in point.

The top two there were quite close together earlier but Poetic Imagination has taken quite a drift now from 2/1 to about 11/4 and could possibly drift some more.

I think targetting short priced close matches is a sound approach. Also small fields say 3, 4, 5 runners you will often see the best bookies odds around 102%. If you dutch them then a good chance of a live runner for BoG in the race. Need to be lucky enough to enough bookies still giving you BoG though, i suppose.

Yep first past the post is the best but impossible to predict. Will never forget Dark Red in the first race at Glorious Goodwood last year. 18/1, winner but then disqualified and both bets won.

Damn non runner in 3.40. Need Ballyhome to spike top 2!

Damn. I’m exposed for £30 on North West Wind but I’m confident he’ll get top two so letting it run.

Yeah I’ll remember that too Chris. I was on the 2nd place horse. Gutted.

Come on Snaffled. I really, really need should be laying these off later.

Yeah I’m not even sure who I get BOG with now

Had dark red and still made a loss that festival after ‘Churchill gate’s!
Had it a couple other times too, one smaller win and a pretty big one- off the hills boost i think.

Day 1 was the only day I made any real money from that festival. Flat racing festivals are tough going, I remember wasting a load of time at home on the York Ebor festival but the Chester one the week or two before was great because you basically only had to bet on horses drawn low in the stall numbers.

Urgh loss. Look at Red Verdon too, that came in too. Now it’ll come in further because Oisin is on fire.

Poetic drifted to 4.0 having seen it as low as 3.25 this morning so thats one that should have been targetted for BOG.

Yeah I know, Red coming in big time, would have been a free shot at £50 if underlayed now had Snaffled won.

North West Wind I expect a will drift in the betting. Most bookies will still have it as an EW price for 8 runners, now that it is down to 7 the win price will go out closer to the exchange price.
