Just watched the race, not sure what happened – didn’t look like contact, they both seemed to make the same mistake- as bbob said like they put each other off

worked out well for me as my only bet on that race was an early doors 365 bet (what I will now call those max bet spam bets) on supersundae. No messing around with 7 runners that way either, was still value going into the race albeit not as much as had it been 3 places.

On Betfair, what’s the difference between e/w and place markets?. I thought it was the same thing paying 3 places.

The e/w market is just that, so backing or laying both the win and the place (both or ‘each way). Betfair give the terms and number of places.

Place market is backing or laying the selection just to place.

Not much of interest today.

Ballinrobe at 20.05 is alright.

Given that a non-runner is pretty likely, I might do a few 2 place edges in the 18.05 at Ballinrobe – Roxboro Road before edging is 8.0/8.0 right now.

17:35 could be some value too although a couple of non runners would help.

I see WH have all 3 afternoon meetings as 2Clear today, advertised as 2Clear on all UK Turf meetings.

A sign of things to come or trying to drum up business on a crappy day?

Won’t be bothering with it today as things to do but would be good if they kept it going.

Been a tad preoccupied lately and the racing hasn’t been great the last few days – only really been attacking 2clear.

I suspect the 3 meetings going 2clear is to roll out some more business tbh

No non-runner in the 18.05 but Roxboro Road won so not terrible.

A little value in the place markets of the 20.05..

Sanibel Island 3.75/3.2 with Hills
Rossmores Pride 11/9.0 with Sky

You can get 18/1 on the second favourite with b365..
18/1 for a second favourite in an 8 horse race is pretty unusual.
