My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Desert Retreat winning would have been the one but not too bad..

I quite like laying the two place market on the favourites in races like that…. lay just enough so that if it finishes first/second you break even on the place, third is the jackpot and then anywhere else is a decent loss…

I suppose it’s swings and roundabouts but I like not worrying about the non-runner…

Yesterday’s cards turned out to be a bit of a flop yesterday too.

Kempton 5.55 Catterick 4.45 bet365 have a misprice on each (enhanced place) if anyone wants a gamble (No liquidity yet – can cash out for full stake) so not much of a gamble but a good price on extra place with 1/4 odds

Ah NR in Catterick means Debans price has gone, Crystal still available at 15 4 places in the 5.55

7.40 Bath might be ok for hammering 2nd fave later (prices off atm), although only 5 runners.

Couple of small bets on Imperial Act at 18s for me in that one for now.

    That hurts.

14:40 Carlisle, 15:05 Dundalk look okay, and the 15:00 Newmarket for a 16+ handicap

Too many bookies have gone 5 places on that 3pm race which is a shame as it looks a cracker otherwise.

What’s the best plan for the 15:00

Lay on 4 or 5 place market (when the bookie is going 5 places).

Just waiting to see what the value is my end closer to the race Bob, if the 5 place market is gash I’ll be just hoping for extra places

Dont see the point in going for 5 places on a handicap like this unless you’re gambling, which I’m sure you are.

You really need 1/4 odds to get place arbs, theres not much activity today at the exchanges so the lay odds aren’t great. At a jumps festival you would be able to load up on these the night before and get some good action but flat is a different matter, I cant wait for this show off season to be over and proper horse racing return.

Good result there for me, managed to sneak in Stormbringer. Gutted about Roundhay Park though, just couldnt ever get a decent match on a horse I picked out for a place early on.

Ouch Savalas got 5th, another one I picked out but avoided 5 places anyway.

Lay odds were awful, would have been really nice profit if it wasnt some glorified mid-week flat meeting. Instead I’ve only made £118.
