Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

Big fecking sigh.

Fav wins at 5.0 in the 14.10 for the SportNation offer.

Couldn’t get on it with a decent match…. just missed once but price changed just as I was about to place a bet.

Got on nowheretoexit (15:45) at 67’s earlier, place is big arb now 14.2/7.2. Still arbing on place at 41 in some places, may struggle to lay the win off though

The speed the loose is is going it would have been worth backing.

Was one of the rags in the field…. running about the carpark now.

No way it’s going to run.

Does anyone do this.

Back the odds on fav in these bad ew races in the morning. No lay.

If he drifts then all your ew arbs tend to shorten making it easier to get your matches. And you get bog anyway on your fav.

If he shortens then it will be harder to find ew value on the other horses but you’ll have a good little arb on the fav. I got drovers at 1.53 this am and now laying 1.38.

Just notice the value is hard to find with a shortening fav. But with a drifter the value is everywhere. Playing it like this kind of compensates.

I got 1.57 on the Fav eaarlier today.

Laid half at 1.57 and the rest slightly less.

Was thinking of trying a new trading technique using BOG as a fallback (didn’t bother as I am still thinking about how it would work).

Just reaslied it was the next one that had 8 runners.

Smarkets playing their 15 runner 4 place jobby again, why are they doing this?! Few semi decent miss prices on the York 8.00 @ bet365 this morning which may convert into value on the 4tbp market or some nice extra place potential

It’ll be interesting to see whether it’s (16.55 Thirsk) priced as though it’s 3 or 4 places…

I saw Smarkets paying 4 places once before (when there where less than 16 runners) and it was priced as though it was paying 3 places. I laid at Betfair instead and ironically enough the horse I wanted to lay came 4th. After the race Smarkets showed the top 4 places as winners but, maybe that was adjusted later. It crossed my mind to to back on Smarkets and lay on betfair for a (commission aside) risk free shot at fourth but, I though Smarkets would probably correct to 3 places so I didn’t bother.

FoG – I like the idea. I often try to get on the favourite with an bad ew races but with an immediate underlay. Your idea sounds like a nice way of hedging things though..

SportNation 4-1 on again (1.40 & 6.30) , looks like it’s a daily thing now whether TV racing or not.

Trying to find out if we need to Opt In daily.

For the Bad EW races bet the favs my idea is to put a decent bet on the fav and lay about half immediatelly (I’ve not figured out the optimal amount yet) , if it comes in you will have an arb on the remainder of your stake. If it drifts then BOG on the layed part should cover any losses on the unlayed part and you should be able to make a bit on the others coming in.
