Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I wouldn’t disagree with the marginal value FoG… I liked the look of the 14.20 but that’s down to 7…

19.35 Tramore is the best of the bunch now..

Yes Cliff – looks decent. I think my max win of Beverley is £30, which is worth doing.

Always happy to spend 10 minutes spam betting a B365 enhanced race if I’m able to.

Mr Crispy, I had a look at B365 enhanced race just now and also a couple of hours ago – and the odds on there and the exchange differ wildly.

Do you keep checking the odds all day in the hope of them getting closer? Or do you anticipate they will get close near the start of the race and then place your bet? Also, are you covering the whole field to ensure to get the extra place or just a few horses with the closest odds and hope for the best?

I start looking about ten minutes before the race starts.

Between 5 and 10 minutes before the race starts, the Bet365 default place terms change to what was previously the enhanced terms for all future bets (ie 3 places 1/4 odds becomes 4 places 1/4 odds on all future each way bets on that race)…

If you compare Bet365’s odds with the betfair exchange win market and 4 place market you can work out the value…

The difficulty is that everything moves very quickly (so you don’t always have time to calculate the value) – you’ll find that if the win odds are equal you will almost certainly have an arb on the place…

I’m heavily restricted, so I treat them as value bets and bet on everything that’s value… if I wasn’t heavily restricted I would just watch the odds and wait for something really good to crop up…

The other thing that I think MBP pointed out is that if you are restricted and are betting your max stake, then when the odds move, you’ll be able to get another max stake on..

Quite often I’ll find I have 3 or 4 max stakes on one horse…. I had 8 max stake punts on the winner the other day, that was a great day (I’ve also covered half the field and hit nothing, a less good day)..

The 5pm doesn’t have the enhanced arrow next to it anymore…

They still have an enhanced market but maybe that one won’t switch with 5 minutes to go..

I was too heavily tilted towards the favourite there, even Graceful Act couldn’t save me from an overall loss.
