Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I managed to get on Deptford Mick 34/36 earlier.
Back and lay odds too far apart on the others right now, might back the Cosgrave horse at the exchange for a small stake.
+0Have deptford too at 29 though. Also got the fav at 1.54 so have an arb on it now.
+0Added Riviera Clare (29) and Classic Star (51)
Just hoping one of the top three flops but on form its unlikely.
+0Lovely arbs on all these especially Mick which is a big un.
Not expecting any of my three to place though.
+0Got on Rivera Claire at 41/44 and nice place arb!
Small stakes though
+0Riviera Clare 3rd. Well done lads.

Riviera comes in, typically the smallest of my arbs but a tidy £30
+0Excellent news!
+04.40 at Redcar
+0Anyone tried multiples on bad EW races with the horses expected to place?
If you were doing trebles you could probably let the win part run (as you’d need a massive exchange balance on the off chance that you winners) for a big payout.
I suspect that the people involved in this were doing something similar.
+0Cape Hill Cotter is the one in that 4.40 race
+0Never thanked everyone for their help and Chris for his jockey advice on the 16:00 Salisbury with Ginger Fox. After the stress of figuring out 25p rule 4 for the first time i did about £150. so… Thanks!
With a race like redcar 4:40, when are you looking to lay the win as the odds are miles apart? Do you guys stick in the odds hoping someone will take it or just check every now and again knowing they will come in before the off?
+0I’m trying an £20 EW double in the 14:10 and 16:40 (would go higher but my exchange is currenly very low).
14:10 could be a better race better but will see how I get on.
I have Epaulini 7.0 and Cape Hill Cotter 21.0
I’m going to lay half my win stake on Epaulini. If it wins I am break even on the win part with and can decide what to do on Cape Hill (I will have to lay to cover the £70 I have paid out but will have £140 going onto it). If it loses I am down £10.
Will lay £20 of the place on Epaulini, if it places then I lay the place on Cape Hill.
Will report back later after (or after I have lost my £10).
Anyone spot any obvious flaws in my plan?
+0Ah yes Ginger Fox that was a good day and no worries.
As for your question, its a tough one. This race, like the one yesterday has a very, very strong favourite so the likelihood of a perfect match is pretty slim even if theres a big plunge in the odds at the bookie. The third favourite yesterday for example was something like 15.0 at the bookies but 40 at the exchange.
Just keep the stakes low on the outsider, Cotter is 21 at Hills and I doubt he will touch near that at the exchange so I’m only going £30 each way. If I have to take a loss on the win, I will and live to fight another day if he doesnt place. Normally I would say you could risk laying in play but this is a 5 furlong sprint so the exchange will probbaly do nothing at all during the race.
Overlaying another option but wouldnt risk doing a full overlay just incase theres a shock result.
+0I dont see a flaw bbobb, seems like a straightforward each way sequential lay on races you’ve been particularly selective on.
See how it goes.
