  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

    I normally underlay all my EW arbs but i wonder if in a race like the 15:50 with just 5 horses whether its better to guarantee profit instead? Covering 3 out of 5 horses with a 1.25 favourite it seems better to guarantee

    any thoughts?

    Still noobing this – totally understand the concept and how it works but can never find the right matches. Been staring at the 13.50 for the last hour or so. Found no decent matches as yet even tho all looked good on the place market?

    Rather than not covering the value like some more experienced guys do, I want to over/underlay but can’t get a good enough match on the win market to make it pay.

    I only had New World Tapestry on the 13:50

    But check the 15:50 there is profit there

    Often getting early morning prices (sometimes night before) is the real trick

    I’ve got a match on the 15.50 😊 not the best, but I’ll underlay for a risk free shot at a place closer to race off. Defo could be better but I’ll take risk free shots at profit all day long.

    With a race like hbet I’d rather get varying amounts on the good ew shots(more for the shorter prices less for the bigger ones) then whack a worthy amount to win on the fav when it’s a close match with some bog potential-and do away with the hassle of lays/commissions. If there’s any horses missed due to no ew value on it/them..then put a little ew bet on the exchange to cover possibilities before the off. With this you also have some slim bog possibilities on the ew shots should they drift..a lot.. and come in

    Bulk of dough on Flag of H at 6s/11/2- some reasonable saver dosh of mush 25s and Zimba 66s and not so good 20s/18s on verbal D- most with mb2f added value
    Will have to whack a lump on the fav soonish
    Hope it’s not kiss of death but rarely do these small field group1s get any nrs due to value of race-/nicking some place money.so nearly always I’ll chance value ewshots early doors even if like today they are bang on minimum runners-always a chance something’s goes astray in the stalls etc..🤞🏻 Not today

    Worked out as expected, went without laying the place on flag of honour, added little bonus of a MB 2nd from Boyles as well.
