Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

So on the 15:50 Bath. Its a “handicap flat” and BF E/W tab is 1/4 top 3 whereas all the bookies are 1/5 top 3. Anyone understand why?
+0The race was originally 12 runners, so everyone would have been 1/4 3 to begin with. Exchange EW Tab always stays the same regardless of NRs.
+1Plenty of races to keep an eye on today

7. 220 Wetherby * (8r) again up if holds
8. 320 Barh *
9. 350 Bath ***Gonna be a busy day trying to find decent arbs from this quanity over quality selection of bab eways😅👍
But can’t complain.+0Also 640 and 740 Kempton 4 place races are lioking decent enough atm👍
+0Caught me out a bit acouple of times in the past the old 1/4 odds thing on BF ew tab- on races with 12 or more runners decarled that then drop below 12r. Always look at the place lay not the ew tab lay on those races when that occurs to gauge the arb👍
+0Missed out the 1/4 4 place race 515 Nottingham – currentlt 17r (could be places in some firms) should be good value in there if it goes off with at least 16👍

nice drift from the fave in the 14:30
+0I’m still watching all this with interest rather than placing any big bets yet but i do have a question…
At what point does a bet move from being an ante bet to a NRNB? Some searches i’ve done suggest it’s 10am on the day of the race, others say its a day before, others say its after final declaration (when is that?)
I don’t want to take the chance of backing/laying a win/place just for a horse to withdraw and i end up losing bets rather than having stakes returned
I only ask because i was tempted by a B365 4/1 feature race this evening. It was available to back at 5 and lay at 4.5 (annoyingly it can now be laid for 3.8!) but i didn’t want to take the risk without clarification
I know it wasn’t a bad ew bet but it was a low risk stab at a free £50 bet and the NRNB issue is potentially relevant to bad EW bets too so I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask in here
Can anyone help me out? Thanks
+0Don’t do it. If you’ve still got an ungrubbed 365 account it a goldmine in other ways. The 4/1 offer is the quickest way to a grubbing.
+0@Ally – I’ve had a 365 account that I’ve kept ungubbed for years now. The one account I’ve managed to retain somehow! I do the 4/1 regularly but I stick to ITV Racing and rarely touch the feature racing. I also don’t consistently use £50 stakes either. And I feel it’s worth taking a small qualifying loss rather than slapping £50 on when you catch a horse come in on the exchange prior to 365 odds catching up. If you always did this I’d say you stick out like a sore thumb.
That said – it could be all luck!
+0Agreed with the fact that hammering the 4/1 Bet 365 racing offer being a fast gubbing method. Was one the 1st things i hammered on a daily basis when 1st getting into horse racing bets/offers a few years back. Was to greedy and just doing €50s on the two races every day and subsequently lost the prized 365 account id had for years (just taking sport offers) within a couple of months.
What Deej does is a much better tactiic- also throw in some marginal decent sized win bets from time to time on horses that are not in any offer races/arbing . Perhaps a few on for eg 4/1 shots that are a bit off in the exchange say 5.2. Bog will help cushion on occasions the small losses these ‘mug’ type bets will incur..and that should help keep you off the ‘pro-arber’ radar for longer👍
+0Def a better time of year for bad each ways (jumps always throw up better dynamics- and also get a few more banker favs in the flat coming out to try and nick a few races before their break)
Today again decent

1. Wolves 320 (13)**
2 Wincanton 435 (16- 5TP) ** Only worth risking with PP atm as they are only firm with 15r minimum for 5ps to stand👍+0Thanks for the tips.
Can anyone let me know when is safe to place a bet that won’t run the risk of being declared a loser if the horse is declared a non-runner?
+0Is oddschecker down / not functioning for anyone else?
Ally I dont know the exact time ante post ends and it definitely changes per race – big races might have earlier declarations.
But in terms of placing a bet, the bookie will make it crystal clear if you are betting ante post or not. E.g. Bet365 you can clearly see the ante post section down the page. Or PP have priced the Saturday Qipco races already so they are no longer ante post.
So in terms of being “safe” you should only bet ante post if you they are offering NRNB (sometimes there can be money to be made from this esp. around Cheltenham). Like B365 are offering NRNB for the Saturday feature races but still called antepost
+0Odds checker just spinning around/buffering on my phone atm Enigma
Amazingly was still able to get 100/1 on greenview paradise 4”5 mins ago😀 if this horse can jump hurdles reasonable its massive price (have seen it win for me in the past at least once/good flat form)Could go off gigantic arb🤞🏻We shall see. **** nap
I have little experience myself Ally in ante post. 9am is always fine for me on race day/but thats not ante pist🤔
