Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

Hope all is well guys/girls. Been totally out of the game/away and never got round to doing much with the scab naps thing🙃- just totally switched off from it all- working on a few stat based ideas to keep the old brain ticking over but no bets at all. Sounds like a grim time of year by the looks of recent posts..hopefully picks up..will be back a few weeks before chelts..hopefully we can hammer in some good dosh then to make up for the lull/break…keep the faith👍

As for the 4 place EPRs The shorter the fav the better.. if the favs over 2/1 or so most of the time theres little to no value.. dynamics can always change things..pretty much have to be looked at like any non EPR race to see if in effect its a bad eway race only with different dynamics/odds of course compared with 2/3 place bad eways.. always worth looking at the odds anyway and calculating roughly what the extra place odds are giving you like any other race👍

Put it this way there is doubt on average that a random extra place race is better than a random non EPR so they should always be checked out without doubt.. it wont take more than a few seconds to see which ones are pretty worthless/crap

Having gone through a lot of historical racing stats recently..Jan/feb with the crap weather/smaller fields/low average quality standard seem to produce way fewer good value ops than rest of year..So keep chipping away for now until it perks up👍+0Good to hear from you Scabba, hope all is well and you’ve been enjoying the break!
Really is a slow time at the moment, nothing much on the cards again today. The first two races at Ludlow need a couple of NRs and would be ok.
Been ticking over with a bit of footy trading and a few matched betting stuff.
+0Im gubbed with all but 2 bookies sadly. No surprise as I started matched betting in 2016 but still
I’ll probably open some new accounts in the next couple of weeks to get them ready for Cheltenham, any unknown / niche bookies I should go for guys?
+0There’s always a lull in good quality horses and horse racing in the 2 months before Cheltenham, think its a really bad thing for the sport overall, the flat season has high quality races all season long whereas jumps is way too concentrated

Cheers Andy- Yeah been ok thanks…did the same trip last year and really missed the daily hustle but not Missing it much this time- esp being out n about every day in the freezing cold! Although its too hot for my liking out here! Hard to win with the weather…got tô be somewhete in the world where its about 20oc every day with the odd drizzle!
Used to think myself Enigma thst the jumps season was better for bad eways/Mb races but now I agree with what your saying about Chelts etc leaving the prior couple of months a bit of a damp squib…

Got to say don’t think much to the jump season stuff, the bad horses are just so bad there hard to bet on, not much arbs and it’s hard to pick the steamers, had 1 big win on ew, but most profits have come from a few good EPRs which have made it worth while turning up.
Trying to save accounts from the dreaded I think these newer non traditional bookies gub so quick given they have less genuine betters they have to get rid of the smart punters quick. It’s tough out there, but we march on!!

Good to hear from you Tony and that your still chisiling out some ok profs from these (what sounds like) couple of sim pickins months..could tell you were going to do well at this caper from your early few posts..hopefully keep Chippin away safley till chelts..hopefully have at least 1/2 fresh accounts for then mate…I made an over the top bucket load there last year with just 1 new set of accounts..a conservitive estimatated prof there for a shrewd Mb with a good few k in the Exchange should be easily over 1k- should be neater 2k+ and quite possibly way Beyond-esp iF hitting some big Eprs-1/4 odds shots- mainly with 365/Hills..so do all you can tony/guys to have as many/much ungubbed accounts as poss and consider booking the days off work if poss!- as a lot of the best arbs/free shots with 365 came up in that corridor of oppurtunity window(close to/around show price time) and need to be focused on intently and acted on quickly to maximize!

I think that e/w wise Chelts isnt great but there are plenty of offers and competitive prices from the smaller bookies which help, I have made more every year for the last 4 on cheltenham, not expecting an increase again this year but id be happy to get into 4 figures for the 4 days in totes

Hey Emma. Sounds solid returns for Chelts your last few years there (7 weeks! im prob jumping the gun a bit getting Chelt talk in so early but im away till end of feb so am out of the game till then.. so not much else to post about in the meantime!)
I think each way races can see the big profs roll in at chelts esp if one can get get an unrestricted 365 account and a few others like pp/hills etc ready to roll in time… going really big stakes on many of their 1/4 odds/extra places special races can give some very tidy arbs and plenty of free shots can be had in their extra place races… as I mentioned in my other post the time to catch the big value with them- and other firms doing bonus place offers -is largley close to and around show price time….im talking doing multiple large ew shots ranging from $50-200 eway on odds up to and beyond 33/1.. so to maximise this safley an exchange account needs to be big..prob $5000-$10000 (if less then that lower bet sizes of course). I was busy last year doing shop stuff at chelts but had one new fresh sets of accounts- and through mainlly only doing the eway bonus stuff with 365- some hills and a few bits and bobs elsewhere- made over $7k on the one set of accounts..50/50 split with the misses! May welll have been excessive profs, as i hit a few too many big pay out extra places, but even with medium luck reckon i would have made over at least $3k and thats without having much time to squeeze out the extra bits and pieces from the smaller firms/offers. But it has to be said once id finished doing the shop rounds I was at home focused all afternoon on the laptop- which needed to be the case to catch most of the top value eway shots as soon as they appeared. So id say for those on the 9-5 jobs 1K + would prob be a good tally and very nice..but if one wants to have a chance to rack up bigger possibilites+++ then booking the days off could be a wise move if possible!!
On a downside the smashing I did on the new 365 account meant the gubbing came not long after (prob 2 weeks!) but I was looking to do a smash and grab on the new account so didnt mind.
So i guess many factors will play a part in how much profs can be made like for e.g.. 1.How much free time one has. 2. How much one wants to try to preserve their account/s. 3. How much dosh can get in the exchange to trade off..4. Experience/know how !! 5. A bit of lady luck- catching a nice few monster extra place shots ! etc
