Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yeah… lesson learned today on that race.

I’ve also discovered today that it is possible to manipulate the bookie (Lad/Coral) price on certain horses when there is very little liquidity.

They must have an system in place that their price must be below or equal to the lay price on the exchange, even though they want to push it out (you can spot them as the price seems to alternate between two prices).

You can move the pice up to the higher price by putting in a small lay (obviously there is a risk that it wont go back up but you are risking pennies). You can then place your bet at the higher price and let the exchange settle to a couple of points below it before laying again.

3.40 Thurles. 18 runners handicap with an odds on fave! Liquidity terrible but should be some value at some point.

Same fav was odds on in an extra place race last week… drifted from 1.5 to about 2.4 leading up to race then settled about 2 giving me win and place arbs on 3 horses and the extra place chance. Obviously fav bolted up.

    Missed all of mine.

Looks like Bad Cigar is going to be the value. 40 minutes though and still not alot of liquidity.

No I dived in with 2.22 eway (unlaid!) and only came 6th

Struggled to see much value, other than the winner arbing as ppl piled into it.

The bookie’s were prepared. Their ew prices were crazy. Most that I checked were like 18/1 at bookie to win but available to lay at 36 on the exchange.

Bookie overround looks like it added up to almost 150%.

Yeah if you go on to the result on betfair the price comparisons of betfair ex sp to industry is comical.

After scratching my head for 10 minutes I’ve just realised that Ladbrokes pay BOG+ on the place part of bets.

Good to know for extra place races.

I caught Butterscotch for the extra place (had to gamble a bit on the place) and made a few quid out of Gavota drifting.
