I think you’ve got be comfortable with either scenario when deciding to lock in or not. For me it normally depends on how much I can lock in vs the potential pay off. Yesterday, I was lucky and fully underlaid a horse which payed off nicely when it did place. I only underlayed that because, was only looking a a guaranteed fiver.

But when we get such good place arbs & we are all getting them fairly consistently the past few weeks, I tend to lock in more (sometimes leave a bit in if I think it does have a chance to place) – I took this one purely on odds rather than form (could have had 3 legs and I still would have taken it!)

Yep very nice strat MRM. The abundance of the value arbs going around on here plus the huge value many of them are going off at- means locking in at least a fair bit is the way to go..also 4 /5 place arb locks very nice too on the top EPR arbs..if I had betfair I would be doing a lot more overlaying lock ins/EP locks than I ever used to..am locking in some overlays when poss on SMarkets- but dosnt have the flexiability of BF sadly

A bit ugly this215- thankfully I bailed out early with small $10 ew arb on Inner Treasure- Drift of the week contender! Could do ith Bring him Home to do just that
