Cheers Wiser- good stuff. Am leaving that race alone myself till at least 2-3pm as its not a big enough value hcap atm with it being to close to the minimum runners (17r as it stands) If it drops to 15 or less will not be in good shape on small value e/way arbs (wont be any big value value ones with Fav such a high price) – but should be ok I hope on the 16+ runners going off. Normally need a big value e/way arb to get on board a race with a fairly high risk of dropping below minimum runners. If the fav was more like 2-1-4-1 range- I would maybe jump on and take the reduced 1/5 4 places reduction as not such a bad outcome should it drop below min 16rs. 7-1 fav (currently) will leave alone till much nearer off time at best.

Cheers Scabba, I have changed tack slightly this week getting my bets on early, laying most of the win early doors then laying the place nearer the off (& wherever possible trying to split what I do lay between the 2pl/3pl markets to go for the bonus place shot most of the time). Have had some good results though as you point out, I have been burned a few times by non runners cutting the number of places offered ! 👍

Nice one Wiser! And upon closer inspection that 410 was/is offering a little more e/way value that a quick glance would show -with at least 3 massive price shots/minmimal place chances in the race brining the place lays down a fair bit. For me all things considered it was/is 1 runner off getting involved early on – with 18rs I would have taken it on with a solid e/way value early doors shot. Small margins for me- and not always bang on with them!

1.50 newmarket. Check the form on Royal address. If that horse is not in the mix for 1st or 2 nd I’m giving up ! Had to back it and thinking of letting place run , which I don’t usually do. Scabb on most of your naps fella … 👍🏻

Wow a measly 34 runners in tomorrow’s Cesarewitch (15:35 Newmarket). Sky going 8 at 1/5 and Bet365 1/4 top 6 are good. By contrast two weeks ago the Cambrideshire handicap with the same place terms had 27 starters

Yeah give up the old form books (except for checking if e/way arbs have ‘stories’ behinfd them entering range) Only nap I/we got in the frame there was Burning Cash- which was pretty all we did in that one as it was a drifter- thankfully bopped back elesewhere

Blimey Enigma- need a 1m dollar computer to calculate what value may be up for grabs there in that 34 runner one. Def wont getting be getting on 1/4 4 places! Sounds like a 1/5 7 (1/4odds 6) place minimum job atm off top of my bonce
