Guessing you meant the 1.35 Wincanton.

Had a good win there too with The Ogle Gogle Man coming in third. Got 5.4/3.5 on the place, underlayed.

yes the 1:35 haha, place odds on Red River were all over the place didnt get a great lay price tbh but 1pt win overall

Amended results at 16:35 Aintree….Sporting life says 5 lengths as well, can’t understand how. Does that mean it would qualify for high 5?

Strange, now William Hill has paid out half of the bet as a winner, whereas smarkets took it as loser. Happy days.

Bookies online generally pay “first past the post” so if you backed a winner that was then disqualified you should win both bets. Happened to me on first day of Glorious Goodwood, had a 18/1 winner that 188 paid out on but was then disqualified so smarkets also paid out.

Thats proper stingy of William Hill to only pay half though. Surely they either pay first past the post or dont.

Thinking about it some more, that really is not right. Can you clarify what you bet on? I’m assuming you bet on Grageelagh Girl. William Hill should have paid out full winnings if they are first past the post. If they arent then they shouldn’t have paid out at all. Paying out half i.e like a dead heat is completely wrong.

I backed Posh Trish and so where that originally given as a loser, with the decision from the photo finish, at both WH and Smarkets, it has now been changed at both.

But, looking at my statement at WH, it does seem that there was a period of five minutes, where they’d paid out half, took that half back, and then paid out in full four minutes later.

If it was a photo finish then they probably thought it was a dead heat for a few minutes

So final result was same on bookie and exchange?

Grageelagh Girl won the race after photo finish. Stewards reversed 1st and 2nd after they adjudged that she drifted across Posh Trish. Watching the replay just now, think it was a joke of a decision. Stewards probably had a ton of money on Posh Trish.

I placed my bet on Posh Trish. Smarkets took a while to change the results, so no joy after all! And yeah, as Mooncat said, William Hill did pay out the full bet later on
