New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Well for most people if your bets win it means having to lose even more which then it ends up hardly worth it. If you are actually gaining money with your qualifiers you must quite clearly be just waiting for odds to swing in your favour which obviously has an element of risk to it..otherwise you’d just do what your doing now every single day and earn the dollars! So it really isn’t as easy to lose £200 as it sounds!
+0I am late on the scene as I have been out a lot of the day but could someone , maybe Chris as I think I we on the same route, just confirm I have this right. I accumulated losses earlier before i went out and that’s fine. I am thinking of betting 3 x maybe £10 on really low odds … so if they win do BetBright just count the minute profit and offset it against the losses …. ie say -£40 losses and the 3 £10 bets win … + 0.50 , +0.80 and say £1 …. I am right they don’t count the £10 stakes !!! … ?? I guess in trying for larger odds you then risk it winning hence the bigger profit is offset and the exercise is pointless. Daft question maybe but been a long day !! Cheers in advance.
+0Free bets credited will be based on final overall cumulative in play losses …. I think I answer my question … Just losses minus profit ?
+0Yes….I had 3 £10 stakes lose..and one £10 stake 4/1 win therefore I was £10 up overall. Therefore had to do a £210 bet to get my overal losses to £200
+0Cheers Ryan … I was just hoping I wasn’t about to add to the “I messed up” thread ….
+0Yep thats right. I was lucky to lose all my bets rather easily today 3 x £20, 1 x £40 and 1 x £100. About £3 in profit there too I think so hopefully, barring any free bet stake restrictions, which can sometimes happen with Betbright, I’m looking at grabbing a £95 profit from this offer. Came at exactly the right time.
+0The in play odds are rubbish today. I’m looking at Southampton at 3.5/4.3 which would give me a guaranteed return of about £20 if I go in with a full £200 stake…
Were the odds better yesterday or how did you all do so well out of this one?

I placed all my bets on the total goals (over) markets. Waited until half time found some games that were 0-0 or 1-0, layed over 3.5 or over 4.5 goals then waited for Betbright odds to rise before backing the same bet. Slightly risky but I had no problems, lots of games were 0-0 or 1-0 yesterday.
+02.5/2.6 for the draw I can guarantee £39… Might wait for the later games. Don’t want to bet on that though in case it wins. I don’t want to go in with the full 200. Want to go for 4*50 losing bets. I know of one wins though it probably lights out.
+0West Ham went 1-0 down yesterday so I whacked £210 on 2.1/2.14 knew I wouldnt find better odds so just took the risk..luckily it paid off so ill be getting the full £100 free bet which the majority will be profit…however, clearly on a different day West Ham would have turned it around and I would have lost..just lucky I guess. Thats why I was saying how I think Matts method of guaranteeing £50 odd is probably the best route, as if West Ham had turned it round yesterday I would have ended up with nothing infact around £10 down after qualifying losses when I could have had £50.
+0I would have gone over 4.5 goals at half time in this Spurs game
+0I think one huge bet of 200 on in play would look dodgy on my account as most my bets are about 20 and almost never do in play….
+0I was looking at that the odds for over 4.5 they were 4.5/5.6 not even close. Just after the second half started though there was 2.5/2.46 on the draw but wasn’t fast enough. Bookie suddenly dropped to 2.25….
I’m overthinking this one…
+0FoG, I’m having the same trouble as you. The half time odds during the Spurs game were pretty awful, and during the game they change so quick there just isn’t time to get both bets on without them changing. I’m hating this in play stuff!!
I just know with my luck the bet will probably win (I’m just left with a big one to lose) so want the qualifying loss as low as possible. Oh well, will wait for the 4:00 o’clock kick off’s and try again.
Already sat through all the League one games but had same problems there.
Maybe need to take some risks on placing these sometimes, as Chris mentioned.+0They wont be that far apart, you lay the bet then wait for the back odds on BB to rise and match. A goal may change this which is always the risk.
