Tornado i find the odds at half time they are the furthest away from the lay odds….when I did my west ham I did it open play as thats when the lay odds were the closest i could find. Depends how you are doing it..taking quite a big qualifying loss is fine if your gona get the £100 free bet. Taking a big qualifying loss for your bet to win and therefore not get the £100 free bet is the issue.
+0Well that was a disaster, was aiming at £17 qual loss but after placing the back bet and going for the lay the odds just kept changing, didn’t get matched, had to keep upping the odds (or could have held out and hoped for a goal but not taking that sort of risk) and in the end probably suffered around £37 loss. just hope the bet loses and the free bet turns out OK, might just make a small profit.
Need to decide how to go about these next time round. Smaller bets would be easier but large ones like this are a nightmare!

£37 loss!?!? what on earth did you bet….yes, you better hope that doesn’t win as right now your essentially gambling £37 on your result not to happen that in itself is quite a risk. I really didn’t struggle to find odds that were that far apart…i.e West Ham 2.1/2.14 yesterday, maybe you were looking at the wrong times…Also you probably definitely should have done the method that Matt blogged that a guarantee £47 odd..right now if your bet loses (hopefully it does) you’ll be looking at less than the £47…and it would have been risk free!

I did matts technique and had to place 4 bets to get to 5, chose odds around 2.00 to 2.2 and guess what.. Every one landed :/ so only gained about a tenner from this offer. Inl also struggled to find close odds, the betbright ones seemed terrible

As someone commented on Matts blog he did it the wrong way round. The best way is to do 4 small bets work out the total profit and loss from then…worse case they all in but then you factor this in for the final bet, and just do the risk free calculator say £240 £80 as cashback sorted. The way he did it mean’t you then had to do your 4 bets after and like your case if they won it would eat nearly all your profit.

OK, so in all the confusion I caused myself, I actually still laid the original amount at the exchange, so as the bet lost and won at the exchange I did still make a £17 qual loss. Thought I changed the lay bet when the odds changed but hadn’t.
Anyway, should still make a bit from the free bet. Learn’t quite a bit about in play odds over the 2 days, will work at getting these on better in the future.
Ryan, I can see what you’re saying about the West Ham match you placed it on, but I didn’t want to risk placing on match result, it seems too risky and West Ham shouldn’t have lost like that. Look at Southampton today, considered betting on them earlier….

I did okay in the end. Found close odds on the draw at half time and just lumped 200 on it. Under layed as per the blog to guarantee a profit.
Ended up a draw so won at the bookie and didn’t have to bother placing the other 4 bets or extracting profit.
Worked out.
Just hope that 200£ in play bet which is hugely out of character doesn’t raise any flags.
