Cheltenham Non runner Insurance

  • Any value in this?

Thistlecrack out of Gold Cup today, bound to be others in the lead up.

I was thiknking about backing a few doubtfull runnners hoping to lay at shorter odds if they make it to the race.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

You’re the only dick talking about blindly backing every runner in a race.

Here’s a link to an article with a preview of the RSA Chase form last year, out of the 4 horses mentioned in the article that made it to the race every one started at smaller price than was available when the article was written (a few weeks earlier than now I admit).

    Horse : Article Price: SP
    Blaklion 17 : 9
    Shaneshill : N/A : 17
    More of That 9-2 : 6.4
    No More Heroes 4 : 3.5
    Vyta Du Roc N/A: 12
    Roi Des Francs N/A :10
    Seeyouatmidnight 14 : 9
    Le Mercurey N/A : 33

As I said earlier, I’ll pick a few and let you know how I get on.

I have no interest in your opinion.

Jesus. What is wrong with people on here?

Who even cares about NRNB… It’s not like bookmakers take any worthwhile bets on antepost markets, anyway.

Just a point of note thistlecrack after he lost his last race he drifted to 2/1 on antepost with paddy power he was laying at 2.9 on betfair so was nearly tempted to put 500 on with paddy power. I didn’t but could have made 500 on this the only problem is I would have had 1.5k tied up all the way to the race and got nothing. It’s a good idea if you can take money being tied up and don’t lose any money in doing so.

“Nearly all horses will be longer Antepost than on the day of the race” “I’ll pick a few and let you know how I get on”
Doesn’t really suggest there’s a lot of method, but like I said crack on and u don’t need to read my opinion or reply any more….. but being a forum for ppl to discuss there may be someone still reading through this! (which u did start before not liking the answers) –

I agree there’s opportunity to trade on the horses, same as any race really. There’s always a risk and no fool proof way though that I’ve seen, nothing to suggest non runner money back provides that.

From a pure betting perspective in previous years I’ve found a decent amount of value when the final declarations been made, so the day before or even morning of the race sometimes. The favourites are already cemented in at low odds, but there’s still some wonky odds on certain or all bookies where less popular horses are still longer priced than they should be.

Been having a look at a few of these today.
I’m heavily restricted with B365 unfortunately as Champagne West in the Gold Cup is 21.0 on B365, there’s £80 at 19.5/20 at the moment betfair exchange if anyone wants it.
