Cheltenham profits so far

  • I thought with 1 day togo it might be a idea to detail down everyones profits, if its close between a few we could have a top of the league clash and maybe even a challenge for a top 4 finish (hopefully no one will need relegating LOLLIPOP)

    So how are you doing?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Dunno matchedem. I just can’t get to grips with the new mobile interface. Constant delays in updating odds, and takes literally minutes to get bets on.

The main reason is lack of accounts and lack of time. But I’ve been doing this long enough not to get disheartened, just hasn’t worked out for me on this occasion.

Ah fair enough Monkey maybe it was the mobile site then as I was laptop only all the time. Do you know u can use the desktop version on the site on your mobile…i think if u scroll to the bottom of the home page there is an option. Its still not as good as the old mobile site tho

Yeh tomorrow we go again or today even now…bed time!

@monkey tennis, as matchedem said, you can use the desktop version on mobile, works a lot better than the mobile site (i dont actually know how any uses the ‘updated’ version, it is truly awful)…

Just sat having breakfast in Corporate Hospitality at Cheltenham. This really is the way to watch the racing.

Tuesday, Wed and today myself and my wife have benifitted from hospitality tickets that are valued at over £2,700 in total plus hotel/drinks worth another £1,000.

Only downside is that we have not seen our 2 kids since Monday night and just hope that they and the house are fine when we get back tomorrow.

Met Ruby Walsh after racing on Wednesday and notice his luck turned yesterday after he had his picture taken with me. Met some great people and had some great craic as everyone seems to be there to enjoy themselves.

Guess my profit for the 4 days will be about £4,000 , taking the £3,700 above into account.

Best result was yesterday when my wife wanted £100 on Nichols Canyon, our son is called Nicholas ( she has more mug betting success than me by picking horses after names and places although Hollywell didnt win on Tuesday). Unfortunately I laid off £50 of the £100 and now I am lumbered with her thinking so has won £1,200 whereas I lost £600 of that on the exchange lay.

Watched the racing yesterday from various pubs in Gloucester which really is a lovely place to visit.

Have a great final day everyone, and a Guinness all round on St Paddys day.

Had to edit this as the Champagne is kicking in already and a couple of typo’s in the original hic hic

Matchie … we’ve had this chat before really. It’s all about time invested and spent on this compared to return. Therefore people who gained 700 for example, but spent 8 hours of the day on the task, may well have earned more. However, people who have been working like myself earning money may well have turned a few hundred on just an hour or two. It’s all relative.

I’m interested to know how, unlike Fog, you seem to have a full set of fresh accounts and are not gubbed by all and sundry. I seem to remember last year you stating you’d been shut down in many areas and have often referenced losing accounts. Are you creating more via false alter egos?

Probably got a new set innit. Tbh i doubt his figures are true. I would have probably believed him if he had said he got £300 for the extra place he called yday. But only £75 suggested to me he’s staking pretty small so seemed odd.
What’s he claimed is possible though with decent accounts available.

Bloody hell , my wife has just backed the winner of the Gold Cup, again picking it on names.
If done the 2 she backed Nicholas Canyon and Sizing John in a double would have been £10,000. Sie la vie.

At least I didnt lay this time.

Hope others called John or who knew a John was on it.

Dont know many people called Djakadam lol

I’ve made more than last year, just passed the £800 mark I think. Most of that came on Wednesday though when I did an ew arb on Special Tiara. The win lay never came in so I layed off the place to give me a risk free (well ok £2) shot at the win. In she came winning that race and netting me £500 (took 21.0 at Bet365 the night before).

Punted the last two Sky offers so made £70 there and finally had a William Hill come in today on the first race. Other than that its been a few ew arbs here and there. Havent hit one single second place with Dafabet or Betstars but only did two with the latter as their odds were absolutely shocking this year.

Best bookie for me has been Betbright with the £100 free bet on day one and their good odds and 1/4 odds for ew. Worst have been William Hill, shockingly bad throughout.

I’ve hit 5 of 10 attempts at Paddy MBS this festival! think I’m done now, will just watch and enjoy last 2 races as bets are all on and free bets been used up pretty much. Should have another £10 from Black type and got £30 of free bets to use with Sky but have hit £500 which I’m really happy with on my first Cheltenham.

thanks to everyone who posted offers and encouragement.

I’ve ended up with around £700 all considered. Had a rough target of £500 with it being my first Cheltenham as a MB. Lost 2 Bet365 accounts on the first day and was pretty down on that but today and yesterday rescued a poor first two. And two £5 FB punts came in on the Gold Cup and 4.10 for about £150.

    Pretty knackered to be honest.

Well, all told (unless Rock The World wins the last) about £450 up, working and looking after the kid 🙂 Badly limited in terms of what accounts I have still (betway/sunbets/Coral/dafabet is about it ungubbed) so pretty pleased with that. Laddies and WH nearby for a couple of boosts/MBS. Helped by hitting 5th place in the 2.10 today. Never used to like horse racing but thoroughly enjoyed the festival! Roll on the National! 🙂

A great finish with Rock the World to give me a very good £7,682.17 for the 4 days with approx £250 still to come through in freebets.
Well down on last year without the Hills,Ladbrokes and Corals 2nd place offers but I am happy with that although I was aiming for £,10,000

Made about 130 overall, could of done more offers if i had the patience to sit around waiting for the right odds. Didnt really have the guts to try the extra place stuff as in the past the odds have changed part way through my bet. Guess im not quick enough for them haha.

I surpassed the £600 mark for my first Chelt, no each way arbs and no extra place offers as I’m still relatively new and didn’t bother to try any out. More than happy though. Punted my last betway money back on Rock the World at 10/1 so a good end to a good festival!
