CopyBet and AKBets – failure to sign up and verify

  • Recently I’ve had some stange experiences with CopyBet and AKBets.

With AKBets, I couldn’t sign up and was given this reason by cusomer support: “Upon a review of accounts across our licence it appears you currently hold an account on another brand (not AK) that falls under our umbrella. Due to updated internal policy, we only allow customers to hold one account under our licence.” I am unaware of which other brand(s) I hold an account with and I’ve not been told which one(s).

With CopyBet, I was able to sign up but they wouldn’t verify me. This is the first time I’ve failed verification on any gambling site. Customer support told me: “Unfortunately, it is not possible to verify your account. As stated in article 16.2 from our Terms of Use: The company reserves the right to deny a client in passing verification with no reason given.” This has unnerved me quite a bit.

Are companies upping their game when it comes to identifying matched betting? It all seems to be getting harder and harder with more obstacles.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.
