Coral England win and over 2.5 goals at 2/1

  • After my hungover fiasco yesterday, which actually turned out well for me, spotted another one. This could be good info but it seems to be too good to be true. So this is a request to ask what I’m doing wrong. £20 max bet at Coral. So if I place the bet at 3 but ignore the number of goals scored I’ve worked it out as follows.
Back the offer £20 @ 3, lay England at Smarkets £33.52 @ 1.81, result is £6.42 by matched betting. I can’t see where goals scored makes any difference. What simple thing am I overlooking?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Yep.

Mauri if England win 1-0 for example, you have lost £20 at Coral and £27.15 on Smarkets for your England lay. Aswell as the stake you put on 2-0.

    £2.50 on 1-0 won’t cover that.

I could have been way more critical… As could a lot of the guys on here!

You’re not even reading it over in your own head before posting!

Yeah England and over 2.5 goals but I’m just gonna ignore the 2.5 goals, I mean wtf?… Seriously?

You want some advise STOP what you are doing right now, as no offence you clearly haven’t got the full idea of matched betting…when you back & lay you are basically cancelling out the outcomes offsetting them against each other. How on earth can you back England to win & BTTS and just lay the first part of the bet…..!? That’s like betting on England to win the match and laying against England to be winning at half time it just doesn’t work. Well at least you asked this time without just throwing bets on as otherwise you will end up losing money doing matched betting and not profiting.

Finally you said “Undecided yet but I might just place the bet, lay England then back 1-0 and 2-0. I’ll either break even or win about £7.50 to £8” Do you have any idea of the calculations regarding this? as this clearly doesn’t work at all, sounds like your just going to throw random money around and in fact end up losing out.

As Tony said you could have been ripped apart a lot more than you have.

You also said sounds too good to be true…9/10 times it is too good to be true and you’ve done something wrong.

In the right situation it is possible to do these offers.

I would use the three way dutch calculator on trickybet.

    Back bet @ 3.0 of 20 returns 60

    Back bet 1-0 @ 8.2 of 7.45

    Back bet 2-0 @ 9.8 of 6.23

Total stake would be 33.68, 60/33.68 = 1.78 you can then lay England as if you backed them for 33.68 at 1.78, however, as England was 1.81 to lay when you posted this means you would lose overall. In the situation where the back was higher than the lay and the difference was big enough to cover commission and make it worthwhile, then you would in profit. I think this is correct as I read how to do this offer. You would need higher odds for this to be worthwhile.
