Think i’ll lay off the horses a bit then, i do them loads on will hill, maybe i should just stick to weekend horses! That’s where i’ve been making most of my money recently!
Tony and El Chico what offers do you do then if you don’t do horses? Just football?

Always said if you stick to the channel 4 racing I highly doubt youll get banned, its where you bet on little mid week horse meets, which is just obviously abusing offers

Exactly – Paddy Power restricted lots of people who abused the 2nd place refund in September/October time as they never bet once on the horses and suddenly start betting on rubbish midweek racing

RyanB has a point here, backing in the 4/1 offer races wouldn’t be a reason behind restricting you if they continue letting you do them after 🙂

People still don’t get how to take care of accounts and continue to question mug bets.

First off, apart from the sign up bonus, don’t rush into new accounts with all the offers they run on site. That’s a common mistake people make with Boyles and the likes. Signing up and straight away jumping into the 40 pre get 20 I/P offer.

If you make a new account, take the sign up bonus but don’t rush the qualification or rollover.

Next, make the MUGGIEST of Mug bets. Back and lay Man City as a big single, Barca, Real Madrid. Common pointless bets like that. Accas on those teams and lay off as you go.

I’ve had multiple accounts with many bookies for ages now. I’m tired of hearing people discredit mug betting when they’re always the same people who never done it or done it properly, and have been restricted or limited. There’s a simple art to it and the art is to look as muggy as possible.

If you try to mug by backing a horse at outsider odds and it does somehow win they sometimes pounce on that shit. Back Chelsea and they win and it’s always fine.

100% agree, Tuesday & Wednesday probably spent £5 odd on betting Man City to win for my favourite bookies, Sky/Bet365/Ladbrokes/William Hill/888Sport, and also bet Liverpool to win the night before, yes I lose abit of profit by putting £20 bet on each of these bookies but I think in the long run it will pay dividends!

You could even lay those off but over time would probably break even I guess.

But what you’re doing is classic muggy stuff. There is a bit of effort required behind keeping accounts healthy but it’s totally worth it.

Ah sorry missed that bit off, I lay’d them all off! I mean’t it cost me about a fiver in commission betting £20 Liverpool then Man City next day with all those 5 bookies but I feel its worth it indeed!

I think bookies look for trends, if they see someone hitting both football and racing offers hard then it rings alarm bells as does large bets on high odds. I got restricted at 365 after foolishly looking for close matches on more obscure matches, or putting big bets on high odds to maximum your freebet return.

My advice would be to concentrate on one particular sport and then only do odd bets on other offers (i.e. football and then on big races, or on races and big matches), but then again thats just my thoughts

Well thats not true as lots of sport fans like football and horses….when you say trends I think they look at more..you never bet on football soon as the £50 risk free bet comes along you bet on football…now that is a more obvious trend

Right i think a new approach is needed!
New years resolution…… 1. Not be so greedy and not do every single race/offer!
    2. Do a few nice mug bets on my main accounts! Might try doing a few mug bets on bet365 and see if i can get my account back! Can’t see it happening but worth a shot!

There seems no rythm or reason to why an account gets restricted.
Pure pot luck in my opinion.
I got resticted by Bet365 3 months ago after having had an account with them for over 15 years.
I had quite a few free bets from their 4\1 offers in September but no different to my normal trend.
My account was resticted but like the email at the beginning I am not resticted from the 4\1 offers.
It does mot seem to make any sense

Bet 365 were infamous in the past for limiting stakes on people that won a few bets, the joke name was 3.65p due to the ridiculous stakes they allowed. My maximum bet on a big game (Chelsea v Man U or something like that) a few years ago was £1.21

Does seem bizarre to be restricted but allowed to carry on with the 4/1 offer, if that was the reason they restricted you in the first place!

Personally, I only ever do the £50 risk free footy bets on B365, literally nothing else! I have been fine for a year now (touch wood!)

One thing though, I always leave £100 in there inbetween offers

Anyone ever had a restricted account (B365 or elsewhere) “reactivated”?

I do most of my matching on normal betting sites; I barely use the exchanges. Therefore it appears I am betting on non promo events on most sites. I still find solid matches as good as an exchange (obviously not horses, which I rarely touch).

I’ve got the same email 🙁 First bookies I’ve been restricted on too and probably my favourite one 🙁

They are CLEARLY do thorough checks of people who take advantage of the £50 in-play because :

I’ve had my account for 14+ years.
I never did any 4/1 horse racing bets or any other promotion apart from the in-play £50 (this promotion has made me hundreds, probably well over a thousand; I remember it use to be so good for euro/world cup games involving England, so I didn’t see the need to do anything else).

I guess I will be doing the 4/1 promo now, nothing to lose!
