Well I’d say the loss is definitely worthwhile pup. The Stenson one on its own, the odds on him placing 1st to 5th is 7.8. So I’d probably say the odds on 6th to 8th are around 13.0. So £70 on that alone to win 1.1 would be good value, not even mentioning the other six

I still think I could have reduced the QL by a fair bit if I’d have been patient. The Stenson one is still available to get on at the same odds I got on at. Mind you, because I have so much tied up in the exchange it means I can get a lot on a Dustin win arb for no extra money tied up. that ‘reduced’ the QL by £15, so £55-60 in total now.
We’ll have to see what happens!! Would be interesting to know what your payoff profile is matchie??

Bookies are offering each way extra places on the initial 5. Sky bet appears best in its 8 places 1/4 odds. SMARKETS have a win andto place market which is 5 places. So back on the bookie and lay on smarkets, if the golfer comes 6th 7th or 8th u win both bets
Same concept as horse extra places except the jockeys have a club in there hands

There is a lot of value at sky.
Even on restricted stakes. I can get about 50c to €2 ew stakes depending on the golfer.
Hit 10 golfers for total stakes €20+, can guarantee about 25% profit per stake on average about on some of the golfers by laying 8 places on betfair. I know it’s not huge but shows how you can keep restricted accounts ticking over.
Small stakes here so in the end I’m not going to bother laying each bet so will make watching the tournament very interesting!

+0Whenever I have done these golf majors in the past I have tried for the extra places but have never hit any. I think as there are so few opportunities for this every year (four majors I think), this time I decided to go for the guaranteed money and lay off on the 8 place market.
By using Smarkets to lay off the win part and Betfair to lay off the place, you can make a few extra pounds profit.
