New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yeah…If one player retires then all other players win and bets are void.
+0Not sure I understand you there @bbobb – unless it was a facetious reply?
For example, say a player dropped out during the first round, one bookie might take that as the bet losing, and the exchange might take it as being void. Or perhaps this isn’t the case? Just wondered
+0I’m brand new to these extra place offers. Any one got any advise on what an acceptable QL is? Thanks!
+0Depends on the payout and your estimate for the player finishing in position.
So a £10 QL would be okay say you were to bag £200 profit for X to finish 6th. I suppose if someone is about 10/1 to finish 1st then I guess similar odds to finish in any of the top positions – that’s how I usually estimate the odds. And the effective odds would want to be a good boost on that.
You could get a lot more scientific and figure out probs based on exchange odds. Something like subtracting the implied prob of finishing top 5 from the implied prob of finishing top 6 and see if you have value based on that prob.
It’s all about getting effective odds greater than true odds.
+0Thanks a lot, good advise. Just put on my first one, Rory, and fluked it a bit with the news about Dustin’s fall breaking before I put the lay on. Ended up with a qualifying profit!

+0Impressive – you would expect to hit something from that kind of spray and pray approach I guess. Stenson and Casey represent your best chances imho. Good luck
+0Grand National weekend isn’t it tho…need a massive float for DA BIG BETS on that
+0Yep might only small ew bets but that’s a decent sized wedge tied up in the place market innit.
+0Hoping for Holmes, Kisner, Cabrera for 6-7-8 for you!
+0FoG I hope you mean you’re hoping for Berger, Matsuyama, Stenson 6-7-8 for me to pocket £2840!! 😉
matchedem that’s a nice spread, not criticising but the only thing with it is that youre on some real proper outsiders so a lot of them don’t have much chance.
We’ll see though, you might still beat me yet!
