Horse Racing (20th Feb)

  • Right the most profitable day of the week by miles (for me anyway) Saturday is finally here and this brings with it the Channel 4 racing!! The races are as follows:

    Ascot 1.50 2.25 3.00 3.35
    Haydock 2.05 2.40
    Wincanton 3.20

The following offers are available to us: Sky MB 2nd 1:50 Race, William Hill MB 2nd all races (Mobile only) Ladbrokes MB 2nd all races. Bet365 4/1 Winner, Betfair 3/1 SP Winner.
Betway have their usual £10 x 3 bets and we also need to remember Coral’s amazing off of bet £20 on odds of 2/1.

Race 1 – Ascot 1:50 6 Runners at present, looking at the current odds there are 3 horses which are a lot more likely to win then the other 3. I will be using Sky 2nd/Ladbrokes 2nd/WH 2nd to hopefully bag a free bet here.

Race 2 – Haydock 2:05 6 Runners one being an absolute outsider 50/1 so 5 runners looks like a good chance.

Race 3 – Ascot 2:25 5 Runners so be careful if one is a non runner we won’t be able to use the MB 2nd Ladbrokes or William Hill.

Race 4 – Haydock 2:40 8 Runners looks fairly open

Race 5 – Ascot 3:00 11 Runners which makes it difficult

Race 6 – Wincanton 3:20 4 Runners so pretty much useless other than bet365 4/1 or betfair 3/1.

    Race 7 – Ascot 3:35 8 Runners.

Lets hope for a profitable one!

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Just got the Paddy gubbing. Inevitable but I really did clean them out the last couple of weeks so I’m glad I got the chance to do so. Will close my account, suggest everyone else who is gubbed does the same to make a statement. May help our chances of creating a new account in the future.

Anyway today looks great, not only do we have two or three chances on the televised races but those races look like great possibilities of extracting a free bet from. I’ll be disappointed if I dont get £50 in free bets today.

Sportingbet are doing a £25 free bet if second in the 3pm Ascot which I havent seen blogged or on the forum. Got Pull the Chord at 8/8.2 and with William Hill and Ladbrokes, thats three chances.

Chris, Id rather keep it and hope they have a change of heart. Mate of mine closed his a few years back. I told him to reregister to get on these offers so he tried and they said he couldnt reopen it or set up a new one. Sounds crazy but they wont let him have one and he wasnt even banned in the first place.

Shame Chris, but as you say was always going to happen! Just odd how I can still do the enhancements but most people can’t! But I agree lots of potential today, I already have put nearly all my bets on and have had some close matches like you say. I also have a target of 2 x £25 free bets any less and I will be very disappointed!! So fingers crossed lads!

Loads of liquidity today for a change. I’ve already got six back and lays, all with losses of less than £1.

    My bets so far:
    1:50 – Vyta Du Roc / Drumacoo / Ballyalton
2:05 – Reve De Siv / Fishers Cross
    2:25 – Vieux Lion / Spooky Dooky / Spooky Dooky (Betfair 3/1)
2:40 – Gas Line Boy / Bishops Road
3:00 – Pull the Chord / Sira bad / Sira Bad (Betfair 3/1)
    3:35 – Flemenstar / Ma Filleule / Flemenstar (Betfair 3/1)

Tried to pick horses with low odds but to be honest most the races are that open I saw odds of like 8/8 7/7 9/9 so low qualifying loss’s thought it was the better option! Also have tried to use Betfair’s promo to provide a free bet if the horse comes 1st or 2nd gives more leeway.

Just seen your post Chris that’s exactly what I found so many close matches I thought screw it as long as its not a 20/1 donkey anyone can come 2nd rather opt for the lower qualifying loss!

Ladbrokes still has drumacoo at 2.75. Can lay for a £0.52 profit.

I’m just doing two races at a time plus the Coral Cheltenham qualifier. My exchange took a bit of a hit this week because of the netbet offer and a 10bet offer I received.

My exchange is completely wiped out with all those lays and offer football lays. Literally 2k to about £150…but I wanted to put them all on before I go watch the football, and hopefully come back to a lot of free bets :D

Dont blame you. I’m waiting on some money coming back in to my account from bookies that I dont use often (netbet, 10bet) and they are big amounts. May do a “reset” after tomorrow and withdraw everything everywhere.

Just saw Yala Enki won yet another race today (1.15 Ascot), good horse. One to keep an eye on as they say he may go to Cheltenham.

But then again not sure how good it is from the bookies point of view me putting £25 bet on each race miles before the off…well same day at least, then again fingers crossed I am down on what I was at the start of the day..but it only takes one winner at 7/1 etc. We shall see!

Ok so here goes for the first race, I’ve got the top three but if it was just Sky doing a second place offer I would go for Vyta du Roc to come second. Favourite should win this.

Been a busy morning here so didn’t get on much yet. Backed a few favourites but didn’t have a chance to look for lays. So here’s hoping lots of favourites win or come 2nd! I have no parachute on today.
