How I've made 1.5k in 4 nights. The US goldmine.
-
First of all I’d like to thank ant aka poker4life and his group of elite match bettors who revealed this great source of income to me.
What you’re gonna need:
1. A Paddy Power account (limits as big as possible) – bank – around 350 for a start
2. A SkyBet account for when you get restricted (odds are nothing close to PP)
3. A Betfair Exchange with as much as possible so you can get on as much horses as you can
4. Something to entertain you before liquidity comes because it happens during night time and waiting for the next eligible race to come up with an arb might bore youBasically Paddy offers fixed prices on US racing which aren’t close to the Betfair reality (not all). They’re very slow to cut and before they do you’d be able to get a CRAZY arb. And by saying crazy let me give you some examples of what I’ve gotten in my journey.
26/6 (horse even went on to win after being cut to 6/1 afterwards)
3/1.5
17/11
4/1.98
6/4 <=== these are the most common examples
2/1.35
20/15
10/5.5
8/4.4
13/7.2and more and more and more these are just examples from what I can remember, there are LOADS. I know it seems fiction if you’re only doing UK racing as you’ll never get that here. But as Paddy’s traders go to sleep early, you can get these and even better arbs. Few people have discovered how profitable it is and already benefited from that. I got heavily restricted yesterday and now I have to try get on with Sky which was a nightmare last night when they were nothing close to PP’s prices.
!!!!!!!!! You will get restricted and gubbed fast, probably have around 3 night before having your max. bet on a 2/1 horse at 10 quid. They do that on the next day after you’ve won a fortune so stay up the whole night I’d suggest. The bigger the stake, the better. BUT BEWARE – LIQUIDITY IS NOT ALWAYS THERE. You might want to queue until it comes. Another tip: Underlay the smaller odds like 3/1.5. Take guaranteed when you have a 20/10.5. Personally I get GTD 9 out of 10 times because I’m satisfied with 50 quid before the race starts, I know folk who always underlay. SMASH AND GRAB before your road ends. Good luck and don’t steal tonight’s liquidity off me please.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I just looked at everyone that you could back on sky and betfair had a lay market for.
Most races I looked at had arbs.
It’s just to get the timing right. I remember this was mentioned a long time ago and I had a quick look but wasn’t spotting anything because the times the races went off at were never too close to the times listed on the bookie. So I was looking too early if you know what I mean. Stay with it until you notice a few thousand matched on betfair.
+0HERE’S FOG BLOGGG HE’S THROUGH ON GOALLLLL ANNNDDD ITS A GOOOOOALLL BY FOG BLOG
+0There’s typically 2-3 US meetings at a time, and I tend to flick between the next couple of races on these meetings looking for arbs as the market only firms up in the last 20 minutes or so before a race.
The races often don’t start on time, so open the stream on BF and check the ‘MTP’ time to see how far off the race is, as the best arbs can appear very late on.
+0What time is everyone doing these races, UK time? I’m currently in Bangkok, so I’m not sure what time I need to be looking at the odds.
+0Is it just Sky & Paddy that offer those markets? I don’t want to lose those accounts, but, have a couple of gubbed / restricted accounts I could use.
+0I tried this on a couple of races last night around midnight. Got on a 7/5.2 and a 5/3.2 with £25 stakes (underlaid both), neither won but mug punted another which did won so made a small profit.
+0I have found the lesser known tracks to be better for arbs, the ones that start later on, say 11pm onwards
The bigger tracks on the east coast, the likes of Belmont, arbs didnt seem to be there really
Whether or not though that is the Paddy Power market being much more watched by their odds compilers earlier in the night

Fog, i guess it depends on how far Paddy’s will restrict you
An account with betfair that I have used previously cant even place a bet anymore on sportsbook
Bet365 for example, I think we have the same restrictions on max with £50 on the tv races, so can still do the risk free bet offer and keep account ticking along
Other racing such as american racing with bet365 seems to be max £20-£30 win nearer the race, sometimes do get good arbs with them but on those restrictions does it make it worthwhile for time and effort versus gain etc
+0Marv. Yes some like betfair, Boyle, betfred and betvictor have restricted all my bets to zero.
Others like sky and bet365 seem to allow me continue with small stakes. Don’t know if they will eventually turf me out completely.
So with sky with restricted stakes I think it is worth time vs effort. I’m calculating it as £17 per hour on my average allowed stake is about £5 max.
Like I said a 3.0/2.0 arb even at £5 stake is worth £2.30 guaranteed. Which is roughly the long term value of a money back second race, or about half the value of an acca offer. If you consider those offers worth your while then I see no reason why not to spend time on US Racing even with small stakes.
Only thing is it’s late at night.
+0i have been somewhat lazy recently not keeping up to speed recording all bets on the multiple accounts
anyway finally got it done this weekend, logging last 2 months worth and took forever (how matchedem does all of it so quickly raises suspicion to me but thats for another thread)
anyway, surprising how i thought i had made more on some of the money back offer bets (how matchedem does all of it so quickly raises suspicion to me but thats another for another thread)
now the argument could be said that having 3 to 4 accounts on the same offer you can cover many horses, so you sometimes take qualifying losses that you probably should not do
so i agree FOG on the potential value of these bets compared to the small arbs
+0Yeah this is a cool source, using one gubed and ristected account and last night still made around £40 in 1 and half hrs. I could get 50’on at evens and 10 on like 5 or 6s.
The bonus is where you see arbs on 2-3 horses on the same race as you get a multitude of arbs so the restrictions don’t really stop you and also because they are. It big money bets it stops big wins swinging the cash between accounts ?
+0I have been doing this for the last few nights on my account (which was gubbed, but could still get a decent amount on). Last night I after my first winner of the night (Smudge in the Louis race) I found I couldn’t get a single bet on anything. This morning I couldn’t log in and now this afternoon I get an email saying my account has been closed (not restricted, closed!)
They have taken my funds saying “any outstanding balance will not be recoverable”. I have tried ringing them and they are just useless. The was a little under 1k in there, I have been robbed.
+0The same thing happened to me that happened to Dr Ryan. I’ve lost a lot. And sky have suspended my account too. Be extremely careful with this. The bookies are not stupid. It might look like a goldmine but it could also prove a very, very costly mistake. BEWARE
+0Which bookie is this?
How can they withhold your funds?+0Paddy Power. They have powers under clause 9 of their terms and conditions entitled “suspicious betting.” See also the preceding clause under “suspension or termination.”
