New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

+0Saw this when i was in town today was tempted to go round a few and have a go.
As Tony has said though usually quite hard to get a low enough qualifying loss on correct score etc…of course you could lay the draw and make it risk free but then your looking at a potential what £5 or so, hardly worth the effort running round all the shops!
I also thought the grid card was linked to your online account and therefore I assumed as soon as I gave my full name in they’d say no. Shame, as being able to do this offer with match result market as the qualifying market really does help.
However, at the same time I assume if you used a grid card they them monitor this and would soon see you were taking the piss. Where as just placing bets on the other qualifying markets they wouldnt track.+0interesting. my online account is in good shape (somehow still) but I have a ladbrokes down the road where I wouldn’t mind doing this if I could get myself a grid card which wasnt linked to my online account.
+0I tried signing up to the grid around March, to coincide with all the Cheltenham promos. The guy asked for name, dob, email and mobile no. I then got a code by text which I gave to the guy and he activated the account, but it wouldnt let him deposit. so he gave me cust services no. to call, i then noticed an email from ladbrokes saying ‘duplicate account’ and another requesting proof of address. So i took it from that that it knew i already had a gubbed online account from the personal info i had provided, and wouldnt allow a grid account to be set up. I still got £20 of free bets on the card though, not sure if they still have that for signing up now.

You can get a Grid card un-linked with completely different details, however if you use one and then a different one in quick succession, they might realise. (So note that before withdrawing in shop from a primary online account), Ladbrokes employees would have to manually search the bet log for bets (placed OTC) attached to the particular grid card However, they do not have access to information regarding bets placed on Ladrokes.com with the linked account. If they were to search it would be from a stemmed suspicion about matched betting, when I asked colleagues, the Marketplace manager was the only one who knew what it was and how to spot it. So i’d doubt they would catch on.
@Gman, If all of the details are completely different on the Grid card, you would have been in the clear.+0Lots of money to be made on this offer lads – i didn’t do it this time as i was sure if it included match betting (exclusive to Grid cardholders only!)
In the Euros i backed a team to win in the shop with the grid card with this prom , I have 3 so i went to different shops and then i laid off Draw No bet on the exchanges, Worst scenario you are left with a free bet , otherwise you a winner 🙂

So I went in to sign up for the grid card and they want all sorts of info!!
Needed mobile number and email even though form asked for one, and insisted on address too
Shep can you explain, have they FACTUALLY cracked down on this?
+0The Qualifying bets are tough on this I’ll admit, but I tied it into other shop offers so just did 6 of them when passing, came out with about 100 profit after big qual losses, think I’ll skip the West Ham one tomorrow
